After finishing Saving 6 and giving it 5 stars, I had high expectations for this book and they were all met. This book was an instant 5 star read, and it was an amazing end to Joey and Aoife’s story in their own books. Joey grew so so much as a character, especially when
Aofie got pregnant and they became parents🥹🥹
! Aofie was such a supportive girlfriend, even when Joey was going through the worst times of his life and I ADORE her for that. Joey and Aofie are such an amazing couple and characters, and I cannot wait to read about them in Taming 7!

Quotes:
- “I said no, Aoife." "You can't tell me what to do, Joe," I growled, feeling a combination of drunk and dizzy. "You don't own me." "Well, that's bad fucking luck on my account, because you sure as shit own me!" Drunk or not, his words hit me like a wrecking ball to the chest. Feeling the air whoosh from my lungs, I glared up at him, feeling a torrent of emotions crashing through me. "Why would you say that to me?" "Because it's the truth." "Since when?" "Since I was twelve.”
- “You can have whatever you want from me," he whispered, thrusting deep inside of me. "It's yours." Dropping down on an elbow, he leaned in close and crushed his lips to mine. "Because I'm only doing life for you.”
- “May I be frank?” “Yeah, yeah, be frank.” “Joseph, may I be frank?” “Be whoever the fuck you want, doc. I’m not your keeper,” I mumbled, enjoying the feel of Molloy’s fingers in my hair so much, I leaned in closer and rested my chin on her shoulder. “You be Frank and I’ll be Joey.”
- “Long after his mother was lowered into the ground, and the other Lynch children had dispersed, Joey continued to stand vigil, still trying to protect her, even in death.”
- “Actually, we decided to name our son after the man who raised the both of us,” I confirmed quietly. “Because, let’s face it, the only man I ever had to show me the way was your husband.”
- “We want to keep you!” his wife blurted out, causing John to drop his head in his hands and groan. “All five of you,” she continued, hurrying over to the island and catching ahold of my hand. “Especially you.” She smiled down at me. “I think I want you the most.”
- “Who taught you to pull hair? Shannon?” “Actually, it was your girlfriend,” he countered. “When she was screaming my name.” I narrowed my eyes in warning. “Tadhg.” “Yes, Tadhg, yes!” he mocked.”
- “Aoife: Day eight and I’m going to the hospital. I have that appointment with the midwife. You’re supposed to be there too, you know. Aoife: I’m scared. Aoife: I still love you.”
- “You’re a diamond, Joey Lynch.” Cupping his face between my hands, I leaned in and kissed him tenderly. “You’re one in a million.”
- “I’ve loved your daughter for six years,” Joey finally broke his silence by saying. “I can easily love her for another eighteen.”
- “Adult female in the kitchen doorway.” “And?” “I think we’re too late.” “Paramedic! Now!” “Oh fuck—” Everything inside of my stomach came rushing back up when I watched a fireman place my mother on a gurney. Her face. Her hair. Her burned and blistered hand. Heaving, I watched in horror as they started to cut her clothes. “Mam!” I cried out, feeling my tears dampen my cheeks. “Save her!”

This book was really good, I loved the appearances from other characters to help Xavier during this book. I loved the MC’s growths and bonding as the book went on, and the smut scenes served hard. The only scene that gave me the ick was when Sloane rode Xavier’s shoe🤢🤢. I cannot wait for ‘The Striker’ and ‘King of Envy’ to come out!

Quotes:
- “To every woman who’s ever been told to “smile more.” Fuck that. Do what you want.”
- “I’m naming it the Sloane. Bitter at first but with a sweet aftertaste. Just like someone I know.” “You don’t know how I taste.” His smile took on a decidedly more wicked slant. “Not yet.”
- “Luna is short for mi luna. My moon. Because no matter how dark the nights got, you were always there, shining so brightly that I always found my way through.”
- “I loved her, totally and completely, and I’d be damned if I let anyone hurt her.”
- “Love isn’t about perfection, Luna; it’s about imperfect people creating their own version of happily ever after.”
- “If kisses had colors, this one would reflect the tatters of control swirling around us, a symphony of crimson and amber and pure, stunning cobalt. They sank beneath my skin, sending electric currents over every raw, exposed nerve.”
- “I looked at her and couldn’t breathe.”
- “Not God, Luna.'' I dipped my head, my mouth brushing hers with each word. She tasted sweet, warm, perfect. ''God has no hand in what I'm about to do to you.”
- “Your technique is shit, and you couldn’t find a clit if the woman drew you a map and marked it with a giant X.”

This book was another reread for me as I have not read this series in sooo long. The series is really easy to read as it is a graphic novel, and I love the nostalgia while I read this. I also recommended the series to my bf who never reads and is a very slow reader, so we will see if he picks the series up! I highly recommend this series if you want a quick, easy read!

Quotes:
- “Most people don't seem to appreciate a person as honest as me. So don't ask me how George Washington ever got to be president.”
- “Well, for starters, Abraham Lincoln didn't write 'To Kill a Mockingbird.”
- “After the presentations, we had to fill out these questionnaires. The first question was, 'Where do you see yourself in fifteen years?' I know EXACTLY where I will be in fifteen years: in my pool, at my mansion, counting my money. But there weren't any check boxes for THAT option.”

As a lover of S1 and S2 of the show (I haven’t watched S3 yet🫣), I chose to pick the audiobook up of this and I am so glad I did! The show changed so much and removed a lot, and the book was really good in so many ways. I loved the character development, the plot and how the book was set out. If anyone else is a lover of the show, I highly recommend the books to you all!

Quotes:
- “Where is he? Bridgerton!" he bellowed. Three chestnut heads swiveled in his direction. Simon stomped across the grass, murder in his eyes. "I meant the idiot Bridgerton." "That, I believe," Anthony said mildly, tilting his chin toward Colin, "would refer to you.”
- “And if you say that's because you lot barged into her home like a herd of mentally deficient sheep, I'm disowning all three of you.”
- “Tonight," he whispered, his voice hoarse and hot in her ear, "I will make you mine."
- “Men are sheep. Where one goes, the rest will soon follow. - Lady Whistledown”
- “I love you," he whispered. "In all my life, it’s been only you.”
- “Did you know I have always suspected that men were idiots,” Daphne ground out, “but I was never positive until today.”
- “He loved her. He worshipped her. He'd walk across fire for her.”
- “The birth of Simon Arthur Henry Fitzranulph Basset, Earl Clyvedon, was met with great celebration. Church bells rang for hours, champagne flowed freely through the gargantuan castle that the newborn would call home…”
- “The desperation in Simon’s voice told her everything she needed to know. He wanted her. He desired her. He was mad for her.”

4.25

I read book 1 of this series last year and enjoyed it, and I am so glad I picked this book up as it was so good which is why I gave it 4.25 stars! The characters were amazing, their growth was so good and the dynamic between the MMC, the FMC and their friends was so good! The fact that the FMC’s friend named the FMC’s 🍆 toys was so funny but also a tad weird.

Quotes:
- “It’s in my chest like a breathing, palpable thing. Not friendship. Something deeper. Eventually, I won’t be able to contain it, and I’m terrified that the moment that happens, I’ll lose Penny for good.”
- “I’m playing for my family. My father. But most of all, I’m playing for my Lucky Penny.”
- “She’s my girl. Maybe it’s not official, but it’s the truth. She’s mine, and the second she admits that to herself, I’m going to shout it from the fucking rooftops.”
- “She shakes her head. “I’ll stick to my spicy romance novels, thanks.”
- “you’ve been better than any book boyfriend so far.”
- “She’s the sweetest girl I’ve ever had, and if I’m being honest, she’s ruining me for anyone else.”
- “Dude, you were looking at her like she—what do they say? Hung the moon? You were looking at her like that. Like she climbed up on a ladder and put it in the sky just for you.”
- “Nothing screams serious captain material like hooking up with the coach's daughter in a goddamn storage closet.”

I received this book as an arc, and since I don’t read much mystery-thriller books I was excited to read it. I ended up giving this book 3.75 stars as it was a really good book, but some parts of it did confuse me. I loved the characters and the letters aspect but I felt like the letters could have been worked on more. I definitely do recommend this book to everyone as it’s a really good read!

I adore this book so much! Aelin grew so much and so much happened in this book but everything was AMAZING. Every character grew sooo much and changed in a really good way. One of my least fav characters finally died and I almost threw a party. Everyone needs to read this series as the characters grow so much as the books go on!

Quotes:
- “You make me want to live, Rowan. Not survive; not exist. Live.”
- “She was fire, and light, and ash, and embers. She was Aelin Fireheart, and she bowed for no one and nothing, save the crown that was hers by blood and survival and triumph.”
- “They joined hands. So the world ended. And the next one began.”
- “Aelin took a step forward. One step, as if in a daze. She loosed a shuddering breath, and a small, whimpering noise came out of her - a sob. And then she was sprinting down the alley, flying as though the winds themselves pushed at her heels.
She flung herself on the male, crashing into him hard enough that anyone else might have gone rocking back into the stone wall. But the male grabbed her to him, his massive arms wrapping around her tightly and lifting her up. Nesryn made to approach, but Aedion stopped her with a hand on her arm. Aelin was laughing as she cried, and the male was just holding her, his hooded head buried in her neck. As if he were breathing her in. "Who is that?" Nesryn asked. Aedion smiled. "Rowan.”
- “But she was her own champion now.”
- “Thank you for the oil," he added. "My skin was a little dry.”
- “And at long last, Aelin Ashryver Galathynius was home.”
- “Tell me that even if I lead us all to ruin, we’ll burn in hell together.' ‘We’re not going to hell, Aelin,' he said. 'But wherever we go, we’ll go together.”
- “Why," he asked. "Why did you save her?" She dragged a hand through her hair. [...] "Because that golden-haired witch, Asterin ...," Aelin said. "She screamed Manon's name the way I screamed yours.”
- “My name is Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. And I am the Queen of Terrasen.”

I read book 2 in this series last year and I loved it, so I finally picked up this one to read and I loved it! I loved the MMC and FMC so much, and I loved their growth sm. I adored how much Pippa grew to love making music after her ex humiliated her with it. I need everyone to read this book as it was so good and such an easy read!!

Quotes:
- “I step onto the landing at the top of the steps, I lean my weight onto his arm. “Why’d you wear these ridiculous shoes?” I shrug. “Because they’re hot.” His gaze lingers on my legs. “Yeah” is all he says.”
- “You’re beautiful,” he says quietly. I smile up at him. “You make me feel beautiful.”
- “I have feelings for you, songbird.” My heart pounds, and the rest of the bar falls away. “I like you so fucking much. I don’t want to pretend I don’t anymore. I flew out here for you.” Something expands in my chest, filling every corner with an intense warmth. Our gazes are locked, and my arms are still around her, keeping her close. “I don’t want to fight this anymore.”
- “Not tonight,” I tell her, knowing I’m going to regret it. “If we mess around more, Pippa, I’m going to break your bed.”
- “I remember her singing when I got home, and my heart thumps harder. If she’s living with me, maybe I’ll hear her sing again.”
- “Anything you want, songbird? It’s yours. Where you’re concerned, money is no object, because making you happy is worth it.”
- “I thought you were gorgeous, too,” he murmurs, looking at me in a way that makes me feel like I can’t breathe. “Even back then.”
- “There’s no way I can tell her the truth—that she’s the girl I was obsessed with for two years in high school.”
- “I sing about wanting more, wanting to believe in myself, wanting to break free and be my own person. I sing about going for what I want because I don’t want to regret a single moment. I don’t want to waste a second doing something other than following my passion and purpose.”

I adore Freida's books and they are well written as I can never guess the plot twist[s] in her books which makes them even better! I loved the whole premise and plot of the book, especially the audio recording chapters. I don't read many mystery or thriller books but I will forever love Freida's books! I highly recommend this one to everyone, especially since it is one I rarely hear people talk about!!

Quotes:
- “How are you? The three most useless words in the universe of communication. Nobody who asks that question wants to know the answer. And nobody who answers ever tells the truth. “I’m fine, Paige.”
- “My mother always says the only way two people can keep a secret,” she says, “is if one of them is dead.”
- “Liars fidget. The tone of their voice or speech patterns changes. Liars offer too much information, babbling on with excessive detail to convince themselves or others of what they are saying.”

- “Adrienne Hale,” he reads off the back cover. “Isn’t she that shrink who got murdered?”
- “I blow the dust off the recorder and pick it up, curious to see what Dr. Hale had been listening to before her disappearance.”
- “When Ethan brought out the wine, he mentioned it was from South Africa. Was it the Same bottle of wine?”
