This book has me in a chokehold! Big time.
And based on its ending I will be needing the next book ASAP (so please write faster Jennifer).
I loved the characters, I loved Lis' interactions with others and how she struggled not always feeling overwhelmed.
Mr Morally grey Thorne ... what can I say for him, other than I need more... and thankyou for saying please.
I enjoyed the worldbuilding and the lore of the story and loved that you got slowly introduced to past events and they weren't all just dumped in one huge hit.
I really enjoyed reading this and felt just like I was there watching 👀 (only blushing every few pages)
I 100% recommend to adult fantasy lovers  who love a good amount of romance (that doesn't detract from the plot).

I really wanted to love this, and I did in a way, but I just didn't truly get into it and I can't place why. I enjoyed the tension and the smut and the story line. I didn't love their dialogue or the characters themselves though. I do want to know what is in the notes and who they are from, and I do want to read the next book as the cliffhanger was a killer!!!

Check TWs as before reading.

The most PERFECT wrap up to a series (other than a couple of points... don't come at me.)

1. I wish there was more than just Warner's POV
2. I wish there was a full wedding scene

But otherwise PERFECTION

Also warner damn! Chapter 8 buddy!!

She is the world." 🥺🥺

I am absolutely obsessed with this book I love it so so much.
A lord of Snow and Greed is the second and latest of 3 in The Winter Court Series. Filled with betrayl, politics, steamy romance and devestating secrets. Fantasy readers, you won't be able to put this down.
The duel POV really shows the character growth of both Neve and Vale and adds another layer of intrigue into the story. It also makes me want to smack both of them and tell them to communicate with one another, but oh well....they do in the end?
The world building to me is wonderful and in this I found that the time and place they are in is shown better, I feel like I have been immersed in their world and am following along on their journey.
I was a little sad there wasn't a lot of Clem or Anna in this and can't wait to see what their future hold and whether they get the guys they both definitely have their eyes on.
I laughed, I cried a little, I threw my book (well phone cause kindle) at a wall, I wanted to smack the characters out of love, and stab a few out of hate.

I read this prequel (book 1 prequel) after book 1 and before book 2 and I think that's definitely a good order. I loved this quick sneak into Prince Vales thoughts and what caused the lead up to the courting festival. I also have more ideas on who may have the ice sceptre and I'm keen to know if I'm right or not. It made me think more about Vale and Roar and how they portray each other.

This is the first book in the Winter Court Series by Ashley Mcleo. It's a romantic fantasy in a dying kingdom full of political schemes and court intrigue. We follow our main character Neve (fae) as she escapes the blood kingdom (vampires) and ends up in the winter kingdom (fae) with a fake engagement to Roar the Warden of the West. But when Neve and Roar make it to Avaldenn (the Winter court) things don't necessarily go as planned.

Tropes include, touch her and die, fake dating, found powers, love triangle etc.

I enjoyed the world building however there was lots dumped at once, I get this was in line with Neve trying to learn it in a short time, but I think it could have been spread out a little more for the readers POV. I would have also liked more description of where the characters were and how it looked rather than so much history.

The plot was full, and the twists kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm pretty sure I've been left on about 6 cliffhangers but that's just making me look forward to the second book even more. The FMC growth was prominent, and I enjoyed how while she was happy to accept help, she didn't let herself get stepped over and when she found that people were keeping secrets from her, she did her best to find them out. (and wasn't overly forgiving).

Overall, I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait to read more.

I am not ready for this series to be over at all. I don't want it to be done. I feel like I'm missing part of myself now that it's finished. I have loved this series from Shatter me onwards. Every book has moved me and torn out a bit of my soul and shoved it roughly back in.
You can really see how far the characters have come and what they will do for each other. I really enjoyed seeing this all come together. and while they got their happy ending its nice to see that it's not perfect, just happy.

KENJI KISHIMOTO gives life to this series...
KENJI KISHIMOTO is the bestest friend in the world
KENJI KISHIMOTO will be the most caring BF in the world
KENJI KISHIMOTO would be a swiftie in real life (I'm convinced)
KENJI KISHIMOTO should be protected at all costs

AARON ALWAYS FELL IN LOVE WITH HER EVERY TIME

There was so much new info, so many twists and turns. I also feel a bit mixed on the plot twists like they do change the original story quite a bit which I'm not sure how to feel about.

I did love the romance in this one though it really shows how deep their love goes.

“Whatever, bro. No judgment. The world’s on fire. Have some fun.”

This kind of just sums up the whole book.

The worldbuilding has finally stepped up! It needed a little more structure and things felt a bit chaotic at times, but overall wow.

ALSO, YOU CANNOT END A BOOK LIKE THAT! IT's TOTALLY NOT NICE TO MY BRAIN OR HEART OR SOUL

Can Juliette please start believing in herself a little bit though. I'll say that much.
