I absolutely love love loved this book. I loved the characters, their growth and the world they live in. Eliana is a mood, and the strength that she has to be herself after she's gone through so much is just amazing! Mallrie needs to learn that not every female is a damsel in distress but I love that he does grow as the book goes on. Learning about the elementals and different magic types kept me entertained.. and I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep without having nightmares about the Kailadons (thanks..)

Also the Aussie slang just hit the right spot. 

This is definitely an amazing fantasy read and I 100% recommend it!

I physically don't think I will recover after this one! 
Fourth wing broke my heart, this one took those broken pieces and shattered them further! 
While there wasn't as much world building this time around there was plenty of politics, history and lore building! Am I mad at some of the plots twists? Very! Am I happy overall with the choices made? Yes.
The writing itself was a little tedious at times but the story was so good I barely noticed. 
So much goes on in this book, but it's all in a way that flows and gives you all the information needed, as it's needed. I love how Violet and Xaden get to work through what happens with their relationship and the growth they both go through. 
Now excuse me while I try and put my heart back together.
