SHOCKINGLY and pleasantly surprised...

I don't normally read the fantasy genre, but I never turn down a solid recommendation to read something.
Throne of Glass was recommended by a good friend and when I recieved the book I actually laughed. Yep. LAUGHED!
I said that I would have read a stack of encyclopedias before cracking open this book, BUT I would read it with an open mind.
Well, let me tell you, much to my suprise, it sucked me in. I can honestly say I enjoyed every page; the characters, the plot, the setting, the story, everything!!! I already ordered and recieved "Crown of Midnight" and I am about to begin reading it!
Definitely don't judge a book by its cover - if you're like me and fantasy isn't normally your thing - THIS ONE IS A GOOD ONE!

Does this mean I'm into fantasy now?! *smirk*

I enjoyed Crown of Midnight even more than I did Throne of Glass... I feel like this book goes a little deeper with the characters and the 'poo hits the fan' in many ways for everyone... This one is not all wrapped up in a pretty pink bow which makes this story grittier than the first book, but a much more exciting read.
I can't wait to read the next one...

Started off slow and seemed to stay slow for a few hundred pages. I found it hard to hold my attention on it and would only read a few pages here and there. Towards the end it really picked up the pace and I couldn't put it down!!
