I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read; I read it all the same day. It was intriguing enough to keep my attention throughout my commute today. I have read many books from this genre of fantasy romance; and this book is definitely up there with my favourites. Typically, these books start with a completely normal human woman that is flung into a world of mystery, romance and magic. This book stands apart in that there was a set up with other characters that didn’t instantly make me want to skip ahead. The main character wasn’t annoying to read; rather than a boring Mary Sue, she was a headstrong, curious albeit naive character. This book has a similar vibe to the Hunger Games and ACOTAR.

If you’re looking for an easy read or something to fix your craving for some fantasy romance then you should give this book a go.
