liked the s&s storyline a little more the second time reading it, this kooky take made it a little more digestible. I can’t say I really followed the alteration storyline, I wouldn’t be able to explain it if somebody asked me lol

It’s been fun to revisit these books cause there’s a lot I didn’t remember, except of course the main bit where the siblings want to fuck each other the whole time lolol anyway haha I’m having a good time

This Will Be Funny Someday by Katie Henry
another random read from my TBR list! This was my second audiobook and I had a better experience this time around. Might catch me doing more audiobooks this year!
Another YA story, which, again, aren’t my favorite. But I could relate/sympathize to some of it as somebody who was once a teenage girl with mommy issues hahah

Monster Island: A Zombie Novel by David Wellington
I don’t think I liked the writing style? Idk. I did like the perspective switches, that was kinda fun. I liked the gross descriptions a lot too, tbh. Painted a really gross picture that I kinda enjoyed. It was a super fast and easy read and that’s something I’ve been needing after the last couple of books I read, so I’m grateful for that. However, I will not be finishing the Monster Island trilogy haha
Honestly, you would not catch me trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse. Imma be the first to go on my own accord. Peace ✌🏼

okay I’ll listen to Rumours again

I ate this shit up, tbh. It’s been a long time since I read a book that I did not want to put down, reading 100+ pages in one sitting. I’ve only had one experience with the oral history format before (World War Z) and I didn’t really enjoy it then but loved it for this. I love complicated human relationships and I love how real these characters feel. I was also gooped bythe big author reveal. It was julia the whole time ?!? Writing and hearing and talking about her parents in this super intimate way? Idk, kinda made me emotional lol anyway, did enjoy this <3
