This is such a banger. I'd have enjoyed it even if it was twice the length. I love the magic system and the storytelling style was really fun. I might buy a copy and reread it again with my eyeballs later

The pacing felt a little off, we were very slow burn at the beginning and then suddenly everything was dramatic but it was basically what I wanted from it otherwise. Another instance where I would've loved a dual POV 😂

This was a good coming of age vacation romance. Lenore is unsure about her future and struggling with her relationship with her future and her family and I think the drama in this was perfect.

A modern editor or writer would probably cut over 1/3 of this out and they'd be sooo right and valid, men should talk less. Banger overall tho âœĻðŸĪš

Overall these were really good. There were a few that could have been longer or didn't hold my interest as well. There were also a couple with tough subject matter. I think the book is put together well and I'm glad I read it.

This was more or less exactly as expected and tbh I'm not opposed to reading more 😂

Y'know for a book I read as a teenager it could have been a lot worse. Still red flags but less than early 2000s usually have ðŸ˜ĩ‍ðŸ’Ŧ
The Ride of Her Life by Jennifer Dugan

Overall I like this. But most of Dugan's catalogue is YA/NA and I think the writing/character building still felt a little young at times. I liked the setting of this one and it's for you if you like a Hallmark esque city girl goes to save the farm story 😂
