Fascinating stuff. Definitely convinced me to lose the wheat. I'll indulge once or twice a month, but unless it's the ancient forms of wheat, it's pretty much off limits from now on.

Good stuff, although I wish there were more countries visited. Still, there's some sound advice here and some ingredients I can't wait to try out, but for folks well-versed in farmers market shopping and ethnic foods, much of this is familiar territory.

I devour books on brain & behavior. This was a delectable read. I need the neuroscience/neurobiology-rich first half again and again to absorb the latest research and refresh my memory on cortical structures, but man, this was a great read.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. The themes in this book are fresh, relevant, and a welcome change. Spanning cultural anthropology, biology, psychology, psychiatry, religion, and behavioral economics, the author takes the reader on a refreshing tour of the good life and how to pull it off. You've got to have an open mind for this one, though. There are so many themes and concepts that this author informed me about that I had never quite dabbled in or grappled with before, and I've since started reading more articles, books, and blogs about them solely because of the overwhelming evidence to suggest that there is something to all of this.
