This is a fantastic addition to THR. This book did a wonderful job at exploring the time period and keeping it fresh. I loved the new characters Zoraida wrote, and the development was so well done in this entry. The conclusion of the book was so exciting! I’m very excited to see where the rest of phase 2 takes us.

There was a LOT of hefty setup to get through with this book. The length of the setup for the story took me out of it a bit and required a lot of effort to pull me back in. This had nothing to do with this book being intended for a younger audience. However, once the story launched into the height of adventure, I was drawn in and enjoyed the darker atmosphere of the book.

This was an all right entry for me. The action was great, as were the original characters. For me, I felt like Mace’s characterization was a bit off from the rest of the media. However, this was largely very enjoyable.

Let me preface this by stating that the best way to truly experience this book is through the audiobook narrated by Sam Witwer. He totally brought the characters to life in an incredibly compelling way.
This was an excellent book. I was very pleased with the pacing of this book. I really didn’t expect to fall in love with the original characters, but by the end of the book, I was so invested in their well-beings.
The action is incredible. The character work is fantastic; Lorn Pavan quickly became a favorite of mine. I so appreciated the care the author took to cleanly align this “prequel” with the official storyline. Well done.

I am a huge fan of THR, but this one fell a bit flat for me. The ending of the book was amazing. Once everything came together, I was really enjoying the story. However, the entire beginning and middle of the book were rather slow and didn't do much to pull me in and make me invested in the story or characters. With that ending, I am very intrigued and cannot wait to see where the THR authors take this overall story next.

This book was so gross and creepy in all of the right ways. I found myself actually squirming while reading parts of this book. The action was fantastically written. The readers are kept on the edge of their seats throughout the entirety of the book. Another aspect that I really enjoyed about this one is that the author wasted no time jumping into the action. Excellent book for Star Wars readers who enjoy a little gore.

This was an okay story. The last part of the book was phenomenal. Other than that, I didn’t find this one to be too particularly interesting. The pacing can be a bit slow at times, except at the end. It’s a good read for people who enjoy the Sith!

What a chilling and fitting ending to the trilogy. I wouldn’t say I ever found myself rooting for Bane, but I did find myself rooting against Zannah. I felt this one was such a great ending to an overall really fantastic trilogy. The suspense was perfect. The darkness was ever present. I left this trilogy feeling I have a much higher sense of what the dark side really is now. Bravo.

I felt this was a step down from "Path of Destruction" in terms of importance of story and ability to hold the reader's interest. It was still very enjoyable in many ways, but it wasn't really my thing. I didn't find myself rooting for any characters in this book. However, the writing style is very mature and Karpyshyn does well at creating scenes and detailing them for readers. I am very interested to see where he will take the story in the last of the trilogy.

This was a very solid read. Karpyshyn weaves a very dark tone throughout the entire story that keeps the readers on the edge of their seats. I enjoyed getting to learn a lot more sith lore through the medium of Path of Destruction. Karpyshyn does an excellent job at describing complex topics and making them incredibly sensible concepts. I really did enjoy this read. There were very few dull moments. Unlike many others, I did not find myself rooting for Bane though. I might be too partial to the light side. ;) Great read! Fantastic option for enjoyers of Star Wars literature.
