A thought-provoking read with a twist, turns, and truths.
Plot:
It is the tragic story of Asmita Thakur. Who was dead.
She was a confident and full of aspiration girl, who came from calm and peaceful city Udaipur to busy a crowded city Delhi to fulfill her dreams. But this city betrayed and took away everything from her. Her death was termed suicide by the system in the lack of evidence.
But the Asmita’s diary put a question mark on the verdict of the system. Was she commit suicide or got murdered? To find out pick up the book.
My thoughts:
Through this book, the author opens up a critical topic of the gap in justice system of the country. The character buildup and plot are well crafted. Lucid writing makes the reader hold the book till the end.
Overall, this is a gripping thriller through an emotional lens.

“When you start enjoying your own presence, life becomes more like a natural flow of a river, effortless and silent.”
About the book
it is a story of two protagonists Sugandha and Christopher who worked in the same workplace in Goa. Sugandha leaves his hometown after heartbreak to start fresh. On the other hand, Christopher also faced a disturbing childhood and boyhood. Both came to Goa in search of peace. Both are kind and lovable and soon they start enjoying spending time with each other. Then the love blooms between them, and a battle starts of remaining together when she tells her father about Christ.
My thoughts:
The book is a bit slow-paced, but you will find a lot of events. I almost fell in love with Christ! When I explore his Kindness towards the “Ammaji”. I liked the way the author portray the minor characters with impactful meaning.
Overall, it is a love story full of kindness, hope, and serenity.

• As the name suggested “winter poems”, is a collection of 38 poems written during the winter season by the author.
• The book is divided into 2 parts: Winter poems 2010, series of 12 poems, and Winter poems 2012, series of short 26 poems.
• The poems truly reflect the emotions of the author during winter, the importance of home and family in his life, the imagination of death, and the effects of poverty.
• The simple language makes this read enjoyable. The word choices are perfectly suited to the theme of the book and leave a sense of satisfaction.
• Though it’s a short read, I recommend reading it at a slow pace, to absorb its full essence.
• My fav. line from the read:
“A shadow is the truest reflection of your soul Its darkness filled edges tell you a narrative only if you dare to see through its layers”.

About the book
This is an incredible read with a set of four stories.
1. Ashtami: It was a story of a Sujit clerk in the British Administrative office. In 1912 when the capital of the British Raj shifted to Delhi, he was forced to migrate to Delhi with his wife. Shanti, born of a force delivery gone wrong, came into their lives. This a tale of changing relationships over time, the grief of losing someone.
“Burden is such an interesting word. A word loaded with different meanings allowing the user to at once demean the other person and highlight one’s own inability towards taking responsibility.”
2. Pandemic: Whether it's 1919 or 2020, the pandemic is always brought disaster for the human race. Dipen(1919) and Indranil(2020) face the same tragedies though there are societal differences and development with time.
3. Fault in a line: This one my favorite story. Anjan, severely injured from a gas explosion gets hospitalized. When he was lying on the hospital bed he met with “Savio” who bring past demons of Anjan’s life to the present. Who is Savio? and do you believe in Karma?
4. The Chronicler of The Hooghly: Sameer was facing a crucial time over the last few months. One day her mother told him it’s all the Curse of pearl necklace. On the quest to solve the mystery of the pearl necklace, he met with a chronicler who told him the tales and words Hoogly river carrying through the centuries.
My thoughts:
this is a historic and inspirational read. The author beautifully intertwined the historic events with the fiction. All four stories are unique. I liked the characters and plot and give this book a thumbs up. The emotions pen down by the author is very intense and change your sense of reality.

Story of lost love, friendship, and achieving dreams.
About the book:
It’s an incomplete love story of Kadhir and Richa. They have been friends since school. But both are like parallel lines which never meet, running parallel to each other: always close, yet apart. Both are successful in their life, Kadhir is a famous cricketer and Richa is an Air hostess in British airways. Kadhir is living a happy life with his wife and daughter. One day he gets a message from Richa, her first love, and the sweet, painful, and heart-melt memories come alive.
My thoughts:
First of all the cover page is beautifully designed. The plot is sweet and filled with many emotions. It’s a short read with simple and straightforward language. The author perfectly blends the emotions of love, companionship, and friendship through her lucid writing style.
Overall, it is a heart-warming, sweet and simple read.

Blood stilettos is the best thriller I have read recently. It is the second installment of a series centered on private investigator Rashmi Purohit, but it works as a standalone book.
Plot:
Rashmi purohit, get a case to find out the whereabouts of missing northeast girl Eli. She thought it just a simple missing case, but she doesn’t know she is going to face dirty truths related to this case.
Vinay Sharma ex-cop finds an unexpected gift at his doorstep, a pair of stilettos. This reminds him of a frightful case that happened 16 years ago related to the torturing and killing of young girls by a serial killer.
Is there any connection between these two cases?
Will she be able to find Eli?
My thoughts:
This is a well-developed novel, and its structure reveals the author’s excellent writing skills. The narration of the book is so engaging, and the way the author reveals the conspiracy makes the story more and more complicated until the end. Every character in this read is crafted very strongly and holds its individuality. The end of the story is very shocking and ends with a cliffhanger. This is not only a spine thrilling read but also enlightens the racism which northeastern residents face in their own country.
Overall, it is a gripping, exciting, and full of suspense novel that will keep you reading until the very last thrilling page.

“Others might not have any idea about your troubles. If you have wandered into it, only you can find the right way for you.”
About the book:
It’s a story of unconditional love, companionship, and sacrifice a father does for their family. The story starts with the entries of the diary of Prince which Sneha mentions in her letter. Sneha is the daughter of Prince’s father's best friend Mr. Piyush. They met in Mumbai when her father moved for his dream projects of building libraries, doing something for needy people, and treatment of Sneha. Sneha’s entry into the prince's life is like a catalyst, which changed his life. She is a strong girl with a positive attitude. But her life takes a different turn when she loses her father because of cancer. She takes the responsibility of completing her father’s dream projects. Sneha too is suffering from a disease. In meanwhile prince and Sneha realize their feelings for each other. But her mom wants him to stay away from her. Will prince and Sneha be together?
My thoughts:
I love how beautifully the author portrays the father and daughter relation. I feel the connection with the character of Sneha as it is crafted very beautifully. I find the narration very slow and monotonous in the second half of the book. But, The letters written by her father are the very emotional and best part of the read. Language is simple and lucid.
Overall, it is a good read full of thoughts, and emotions.

The book consists of seven unique short stories. All seven are based on different themes like thriller, mystery, and fantasy comic books, etc.
I will not write about the stories, because it will be a spoiler for you. But will give the hint that stories talk about the human behavior towards a particular situation In life, their desires, and emotions.
The narration of the book is very interesting that will hold you till the last page of the book. It is not a fast-paced read, you have to read it slowly to absorb the emotions author poured into his narrative writing style.
Overall, it is a page-turner read.

“An emotionally riveting read.”
“Sometimes life gives us just one path, and you have to embrace and walk on it.” – Neha
Plot:
This is a story of unconditional love between parents and children which makes me overwhelmed. This a story of a family of four Nikhil, Neha, and their children Riya and Raghu. Raghu is a specially challenged child. Nikhil and Raghu share a very special bond. Raghu called his father Spiderman. One summer they plan an outing to Shimla. But this journey changed their life, Raghu gets separated from their family. In a search of Raghu, some unexpected revelation comes into the light. Will Raghu be able to unite with their family?
My thoughts:
Sacrifices, love, and Emotional turmoils faced by both Neha and Nikhil are described very aptly. Narration is a bit descriptive in some parts, which can be avoided. However simple writing style and good storyline make the read fast-paced.
Overall, this a gripping and emotional read.
