“The Demons of Jaitraya” by Surbhi Prasad is captivating modern mythological retelling.
This is the first book of a trilogy. There are many books based on a retelling of mythology with the modern era in the backdrop. But I find the concept of this book unique, it tells that how the demons which were defeated in the previous Yugas are presented within ourselves in Kalyuga. Aishani and Adeesh are two warriors of the present time to fight with hidden evils of all the yugas.
The plot is cunningly written and the multidimensional nature of the characters pulled me in and kept me racing through the pages. For me storytelling craft is stellar. The intersection between the modern era and the mythological era is superbly woven with the author's lucid writing.
This book introduces the epic retelling series, and readers who enjoy tales with phenomenal characters and a strong conflict will adore this story.

A tale about revenge, written in the most poignant and captivating manner, “She erased her” by “Himanshu Rai” is a treat for fans of thrillers with turns and twists.
Samira woke up from a coma after eight months, and he had no memories of her past. He met with an old person from her past through social media. And then starts the bizarre events in her life. each turning page weaved the net of lies, pain, and cheat.
When I finished reading this book, I exhaled. It was just too much! This is a skillfully written book; the author has created a shocking and brilliant narrative. Seen from Samira’s viewpoint, the story begins in a standard suspense setting with dealing with everyday dilemmas. Then in a shocking and unexpected curve, the plot takes the readers on a breathtaking ride of thrill. Dramatic scenes with sexual assault and blood and gore.
The book is more suitable for mature readers due to violence, and erotic graphics. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to fans of accurately developed characters, compelling plots and for fans of genre-melding mystery works.

The Gold Cat’s Daughter by Mark Rude is a spellbinding fantasy entwined with drama, magic, and powers.
This is the story of young and beautiful girl Cindra Corina. Her marriage is fixed by her father. But she has another plan. One night She left the palace with her cat Rufi to explore her city and her true self. But she got attacked by a beast. Will she be able to escape and return to the castle on time?
I found this book delightful, lovingly penned by an author that took great care in developing the character. Mark Rude enchanted me with a little princess who seemingly has everything but possesses a little. The story s exquisite and her storytelling craft is impeccably good.
Overall, highly recommended to fantasy fiction lovers.

We all heard the saying that life is a journey. Many of us travel to follow our desires to live life to the fullest. But how many of us travel to savor the entire life experience of every place we visit?

“Diary of an Indian girl in Spain- a memoir” by Abha Malpani Naismith is a travelogue that emphasizes soaking at the moment and encourages to savor the journey. “Life is too short for ordinary dreams”, and the author lives by this line and leaves her monotonous corporate life to learn the Spanish language and Salsa. The book encapsulates that period of her life spanning 3 years, from becoming a blogger to teach in a foreign land and her beautiful romance with the country. Her descriptions of the places in Spain and her travel experiences will make readers add Spain to their bucket list.

Her passion for traveling and exploring Spain is evident in her writing and I love the storytelling streak in her. Spain is a beautiful country and the author captures the landscapes, culture, food, and lifestyle. Overall, this is a delightful read.

Easy chair the rest of age by Nishtha Srivastava is a tale that describes the fragility, vulnerability, and strength of the human heart.
This is the story of Shreya a girl who belongs to a small city with big dreams in her eyes. She has the two most important people in her life, the love of her life Dev a Navy officer, and her grandfather who dreams through her eyes. But sometimes we give painful last moments to those we love most.
Being an admirer of the real heroes “The soldiers” of or country, I am hooked to read this book. Nishtha through her magical writing presents a romance between Dev and Shreya that is destined to end, yet tugs at the reader’s heartstrings. My heart just ached when I feel the pain of a couple saying goodbye to someone you care about. I feel the untold pain and fear a soldier and his family feel.
Grandparents hold a special place in everyone's hearts. Shreya also shares a special bond with his grandfather. He is her teacher and, her best friend but in the race of achieving everything she lost this bond. She takes it for granted. The essence of this book is not only acknowledged grandparents but also making them happy by sharing small talks. I feel when our elders get acknowledged by their grandchildren with nice and grateful words, they do not become happy but also feel proud of themselves.
I love each and everything about this book. Words have power and the author has chosen just the right words to paint the picture of ignorance and mental health. The beauty of Nishtha’s craft is that even in such an emotional portrait, she managed to create strokes of love and hope.
Ranging from the plot twists to the diverse portrayal of the characters, Easy Chair has proved to be a commendable read.

“The Marhahynyahm: Book I – of revealing contentions” is a work of fiction in the folk fantasy, adventure, and drama subgenres, and penned down by Tumbmar.
I have heard, read, and watch many folks and epic stories in my grown-up years, and I think this is a perk of growing up in India, we have many tales to talk about. This book holds a tale of a cursed boy: Tumbmar. I got thrilled and awe while reading his adventurous journey and encounter with his many companions.
There is so much to enjoy in this read, especially the meticulousness and the skill with which the protagonist is written. I immediately pulled into his world of adventure, emotions, and drama. The narration is good and creates vivid images and makes it easy to imagine the environment and situations in the story. There is only one thing I found a little bit off, the characters' names, all are very tough to pronounce. I love it when fantasy authors give their characters easy-to-pronounce names. This makes it easier to connect with the characters.
Apart from this, I will recommend this exciting story to every fantasy lover.

The wooing of the Shrew is the third book in the Thakore Royals series by Sundari Venkatraman.

This is the story of princess Dayanita Thakore and prince Harshvardhan Singh Gaekwad. Their story is full of romance and drama. I love the relationship development between them. It Will not talk much about the story much as it will lose its charm. However, the story went smoothly from start to end as Dayanita’s nervous behavior around Harshvardhan changed from superficial to serious romance.

I have a special spot for Sundari Venkatraman mam books. I have said it before, and I stand by it. The author has crafted an immersive work of fiction. The narration is smooth which will take you to the plot filled with ups and downs, self-analysis, easy conversations, and realistic romantic outcomes. Both, the protagonists are well penned down to show every dimension and the psychological and emotional exploration of how they fit together in their personalities. I appreciate how smoothly a sensitive topic #metoo is handled in between the line. This is the beauty of the Author’s work she always incorporates some social issues in her fictional reads.

Overall, this is a read or series undoubtedly I recommend.

We are meant to be together by Praneetha Gutta is simple and short romance fiction.
This is the story of Viraj a workaholic, ideal and disciplined entrepreneur, and brave, strong girl Sakshi. They met in a bizarre situation and, became friends and then friendship bloom into a relationship. This is not just a love story, you will explore the flavor of true friendship, brotherhood, and bonding in marriage, in there is a little bit blend of some serious topics like suicidal thoughts, depression, and mental health.
The author pulled me in with her beautiful writing and meticulous attention to character development. I feel it is a character-driven story. I find the story a little bit unrealistic but as it is a fictional genre, it will justify it. If you love to enjoy romance reads sprinkled with a dose of emotions, I will recommend it.

Qotd: Do you know why wildflowers are the most beautiful blossoms of all?
AOTD: Wildflowers are the loveliest of all because they grow in uncultivated soil, in those rugged places where no one expects them to flourish.
“When the wildflowers bloom” by Rupa Bhullar is a mesmerizing tale with memorable characters, and gripping plots, a tale with an immense appeal to fans of strong female characters.
This is the story of Tara who sets out on a quest after enduring 17 years of an abusive marriage. This is a moving journey of Tara’s healing and personal empowerment. The story is told in a mesmerizing voice and Rupa’s use of first-person narrative voice is ingenious as it allows readers to grasp the inner world of Tara and so easily understand her emotions.
The whole story is emotional and understandable especially when you are trying to pick up the pieces after your heart has been broken. I love the way Tara opens herself to opportunities for freedom, love, and growth. Overall, this is a beautiful, engaging, and enticing voice, a narrative that reflects the reality that many women go through.

The pandemic gave many of us a taste of too much unstructured time. Deaths in Lockdown by Ratna Chandu acknowledges a thriller based on human cruelty.
