Khudgarziyaan By Harmanjeet Singh Punia is a collection of poems. The subjects vary from love, heartbreak, experiences and mostly with different observations about life. Harmanjeet can portray his thoughts and feelings on some of the most trivial and important aspects of our lives.
After reading the poems I feel like as I am not alone in the world, having feelings that can sometimes be too overwhelming. I related to sufferings, experiences, thoughts, and dreams the author pour into the words. This is a kind of book that will be enjoyed by minds that like to roam the galaxy in brief poetic installments.

The blueprint to my Destiny by Shivangi Shahane Phanse is a short book, a memoir that is inspirational as it is rollicking. Through this read, the author uses her experience to communicate a message of hope and resilience to readers.
The title is so perfectly suited as Shivangi opens her life experience to achieve what she desires. The author shares tips through her experiences on investing in one’s dream, the importance of staying positive, and keeping the hope high. she explains why one should not settle for less and the importance of giving it your all. I lived by a line mentioned in this book “Success has no set of parameters, set your parameters and feel proud of yourself.”
This book provides content that lifts the spirits of readers and inspires them to hold onto their dreams. Overall, this book is filled with personal experiences and wisdom that can take readers a long way on a path of achieving goals.

“Canvas of words” by “Monika Bharti” is a beautiful collection of poems. The subjects vary from random thoughts, love, experiences, and different observations about life even the “Tea”.
The book is written in micro poetry and Haiku form (short ancient poetry form of Japan). I like the way Monika makes readers feel through her verses as if she is talking directly to them. Each poem is unique and brings a sense of peace and evokes the myriads of emotions.
To write a big chunk of your life into poems is an impressive task, and the author has accomplished it. some of my favorites from this read:
1. The new girl (it reminds me of the first day of my job)
2. Old fashioned (as I love the smell of pages and simple life)
3. Pluviophile (I am lover of rains)
Overall, it is a short and entertaining read.

“Tears on the Pages” by “Anjilina Kalita” is a work of fiction in the contemporary romance genre. It is aimed at readers owing to the presence of some explicit language and gripping theme.
The book tells the tale of a turbulent but passionate romance between two young’s who were already carrying the weight of their loss and pain before they were thrown together by destiny. As the two of them come together to form a strong union and promise each other that they will be together forever, destiny seems determined to test them, throw a stone, and scattered the hearts into pieces.
This is a highly engaging romance novel that is told from the perspective of a boy. I am amazed how beautifully and tactfully Anjilina narrates the whole story in the form of diary entries. I must appreciate the author’s vivid and cinematic writing style. She crafts an engaging and involved plot full of emotions. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this book and looking forward to more work from the author.

“The Day I Broke Your Heart” by “Piyush Gupta” is a contemporary romance about love, friendship, and remorse.
Piyush brings us the story of two very different people Dravya an egoistic and arrogant guy and Shagun sh and well-composed girl, coming together and their ups and downs in a relationship. This is not just a love story you will find the fine picture of dirty politics and its effects on relations.
This is a story packed with drama and various aspects of the very different worlds of the main characters. The story is predictable just like any other romance story, but the blend of politics makes it enjoyable. I must appreciate the author’s lucid writing style to bring the struggles of both the protagonists to life and allow readers to form opinions and feelings toward each one. And I like the portrayal of supportive characters as the author gives a proper space to develop each one.
Overall, it is an enjoyable read for romance readers.

The black rose collection by Justin Wamsley is a collection of short stories and poems.
The book is divided into four parts:
1. Betrayal: It consists of 3 short stories with the theme of Suicide, betrayal, loneliness, sexual abuse, and death.
2. Retribution: It consists of 2 short stories with the theme of greed and Karma.
3. Redemption: It consists of 2 short stories with the theme of how one can overcome fears and find peace.
4. Poems: It consists of poems with the theme of pain, corona situation, and so on.
The compilation of stories blew my mind. All of them include the dark themes that drew me in, kept me on edge, made me angry, and blew my mind. The language is very simple and lucid. The book is a very short read with 60 pages, but it will leave an impact for a long time. The book is truly a mirror of the inherent negative traits of human beings and the cruelty of society.
Overall, this is a kind of book which will raise many questions about our society.

R. Giridharan’s novel Right under your nose brings a compelling murder mystery narrated with wit.
This is a story of trio Vijay a dedicated and kind police officer, Padmini a passionate journalist with a strong institution, and Dalvi enthusiast and loyal police officer. All three are investigating a murder case of two known scientists and a girl. As the story moves many known names came under suspicion, new friendships bloomed, and shocking truths unravel.
I enjoyed reading this crime fiction, the author pulled me into the story as it turned more complicated, with puzzling twists and weird turns aplenty. I particularly like the descriptive narration which transported me into the dark and terrifying world of the victims and investigators.
Overall, this is a well-crafted story with strong character and an incredible interweaving of mystery.

Do poornank by Manisha Bharat Palor and Prateek Bharat Palor is a book that contains an assortment of short stories.
This is a great collection of stories with an array of themes: environmental pollution, animal-human compassion, old traditional, woman atrocity, a cute small desire of a child for his first cycle, and so on.
Am still trying to decide my favorite between the two stories which got me thinking the most. The first “Nirlaaj and the second one “Pehchan” both made me think about the hypocrisy of society.
I must say Manisha and Prateek both are talented authors whose output impressed me a lot. Through one page story, they deliver a very impactful message. I thoroughly enjoyed the collection and some of the concepts are still circling in my mind.
Overall, this is a good and short read.

In Denial by Shradha Khana is a short read of 47 pages. As the title suggested it is based on the story of Ridhwan who is in denial of his feelings for a girl Vedika. He is in a dilemma as he is already engaged to Aparna chosen one by his family. Does he listen to his heart or get married to a girl chosen by his family?
This is a very well-written story. I like the fact that it is short, but nothing was left out. The emotional conflicts are portrayed clearly. The story is concise but full of the information you need to draw your conclusion. The writing style is captivating. The book is perfect to enjoy with a cup of coffee or get you up from a reading slump.

Book: Far from Home
Author: Peter Gray
Genre: Historical fiction, Gothic Thriller
Far from home is a work of fiction in the suspense, and gothic thriller subgenres and is the first installment of the series. The book includes a story that is sure to intrigue, thrill, and excite the readers.
Synopsis:
This is the story of detective Varon, who is in search of a missing girl Victoria Reed. He has only one lead Victoria’s diary and the name Mr. McVeigh on her diary entry. As the story moves forward Varon discovers terrifying mysteries, secrets, and false identities, he realizes that it’s more than a normal disappearance. The whole story has many twists with the backdrop of beautiful old London and an unexpected jaw-dropping encounter at the end.
My Musings:
I encounter many vibes from this fast-paced thriller. when I read the first few pages with the traveling description of Varon to Reed’s house I just feel like Bram stoker’s “Dracula” vibe. Then moving forward, the style of questioning, detailed investigation gives me a vibe of Sherlock Holmes.”
This is my second book of Peter, and I must say he pens his mystery elements extremely well and ties those moments together with clever threads of intrigue narration that builds suspense on every page of this excellent conspiracy novel. All the characters are strongly crafted, there are genuinely times when I feared for Victoria, but the reality at the end struck me. Now I am eagerly waiting for the second installment of the series.
Final Verdict:
Far from home is a thriller that serves up everything that high-octane thriller and conspiracy fans need.
