Liz. Honey. I do not know who told you that us romance girlies need 500+ pages you have been missed informed.

100% on me for not realizing the page length until to late.

And by that I mean after I realized they banged 182 pages in. Girl what.

The smut book formula is as follows, all under 400 pages INCLUDING the epilogue:
• dual POVs
• [insert adjective] male MC
• pick a troupe or two but don’t get wild
•build up the tension, a good/well written smut scene, give us some blissful chapters, a random ass, and totally solvable reason to break up
•one of them learns a lesson or some shit
•the realize they can’t live without each other and have a big dramatic reunion
• happily ever after, the end.

Some rich white couple killed an immigrant woman, kidnapped her child and then pretended that child was boy until some mid twenties recovering drug addict nanny and her gardener boyfriend figured it out. There was also a ghost/spirt involved.
