If you liked her first book then you won’t be disappointed in her second. There are quite a few writing parallels, but I could not have predicted the ending at all. This book keeps you guessing every few chapters. The last 200 pages are a rollercoaster that keep you glued.

It’s a nice quick read, perfect for a rain afternoon.

4 stars only because up until midway through it read and felt like All the Dangerous Things. I almost gave up on it, though I’m glad I didn’t.

Came recommended from Tiktok and I should’ve known….

It was an average KU read. The story was cute but honestly felt more like YA read with some extra spice.

At first (if I'm honest), I found the start of the book a bit boring. The writing was excellent, and the story itself was super cute. But something about it didn't quite catch me and draw me in until over halfway in.

The author does a great job of dropping moments that warrant gasps from the reader. Personally, I audibly gasped three times.

A quick read that almost borders on a YA vibe.

*****Slight ending spoiler below, kinda not really?

What was that ending? I didn't sign up for this torture. I really didn't expect such a large cliffhanger. It didn't feel purposeful; rather, it felt like the author ran out of pages.

“But the real conundrum is, Just because we have the ability to recreate ourselves, should we?”

A very classic superhero origin story with a love story twist, and it was a twist. It has a mostly main character POV and switches between the different characters. It keeps the story interesting and helps you put the pieces together. There are quite a few moving parts in true Stan Lee fashion, and the ending did not disappoint. This is a series, but you could read this as a stand-alone.

Demon, vampire, witch, devil smut - what a wild ride

I didn’t think this series could get an wilder. Yet there I was reading this book with my mouth wide open in shock. Even without all the wild shit the plot of the book is interesting and new twist on a repetitive story line.

Buckle the fuck up.

Screaming, crying, throwing up. On the list of one of the best books I've read this year. Everything about this book was phenomenal. I've had meh experiences with KU books and sub-par writing, but this book had me hooked, invested, and needing more at 100 pages in. It consumed me. I have questions, and the snail-slow burn that hasn't even sparked has me downloading book two immediately.

4.5 (Goodreads I’m begging, give us half stars). I have a hard time rating books in series because I tend to look at how the series is progressing through the books, but I will try my best. I also have a bone to pick with the TikTok creator who claimed the smut in this book was

Another basic KU contemporary romance. The story was cute and the witty banter between the two main characters really saved the book. I found the book to be a bit boring and I had the ending figured out a little over half way through.

Secrets don’t make friends but they do get your friends killed. 90% percent all of situations and problems between Chaol, Celaena, and Dorian could have been solved if they JUST COMMUNICATED WITH EACH OTHER instead of keeping secrets and lying.

Vibes were off in this book, but not enough to not read the full series. I’ve got FOMO.
