•the writing has improved and the plot still has a chokehold on me.

•i do wish for more consistent POVs. It still bounces around a bit and I’m not sure having so many really adds anything to the book…

•again we ended at such an odd point…was this a AO3 book?!?

The first line of the official book description reads, “Twilight meets Ancient Aliens with the sizzle of Fifty Shades.” First, whoever wrote that needs a raise and second, immediately downloaded. Also, whoever oversees my kindle lock screen ads please know that I love you because that is how I found this book.

I’m going to preface this with the writing in this book is not the best and borderlines cringy at times, but the chokehold this book’s plot had on me was inane. My boyfriend can be quoted calling this book, “smutty Percey Jackson ‘’.  To which he is both correct and incorrect.

I obviously downloaded book two because a) and spoiler alert they did not 👀 and b) it ended like a Wattpad fanfic where the author was like “this is all I could come up with today, update later.”

Additionally, I.T. Lucas, why are there 62 books in this goddamn series!?

I can’t solve a normal mystery/thriller there is no way I was solving this book….

Is it wrong that I’m only invested the series for the possible enemies to lovers/love triangle(?) romance??

It was a super cute story, with a dash of romance mixed. While I enjoy the beautiful escape of this novel I found the ending slightly lacking. I just wanted a bit more, but I think that’s just me being selfish.
