The Mist Thief by LJ Andrews
5.0
The arranged marriage trope is EVERYTHING!!! I LOVED this book so much and this book just proves how much I love this series and every single book so far. I ate this book up so quickly and was just completely immersed into it.
Jonas is the best MMC I have ever read. I love how flirtatious he is and how protective he is of Skadi. He was perfect for Skadi because he taught her so much and wanted her to be happy and free. Jonas has been a favorite side character since the first book in this series, and he definitely held up to his character and has become my favorite MC. He is incredibly loyal and protects his family and people with everything in him. He loves deeply and unapologetically, and I love that about him.
Skadi, the sweet baby angel, I love her. She needs to be protected at all costs because she grew up with a rough life of being used for her powers and mistreated. Jonas really helped her find her confidence and realize she is more than just her power. Skadi started as a very lonely and sheltered woman with no family and barely any friends. I love that she found her place amongst her new family and how openly they welcomed her and accepted her and everything that she was. I feel like I am really emotionally connected with Skadi, and I'm excited to hopefully see more of her in future books!
The words of affirmation from Jonas throughout this book were perfect. The character development of many characters throughout this book was amazing, and I'm so happy Skadi was finally able to be free and happy again.
Also, I'm not sure what L.J. puts in these books, but they are addictive, and once you start reading one, you just can't stop. This author can do no wrong, and I will buy absolutely anything she puts out. I can't wait for Mira and Tait's story to see what happened to them.

The Stars are Dying by Chloe C. Peñaranda

The prologue was so confusing and almost made me put the book down if I'm honest. BUT I continued on and finally at the 50% mark the story picked up and the action started.
I think I liked this book but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement. The plot has big potential and really peaked my interest. but it also dragged on a little too long.
The storyline felt a bit conflicting and I'm not really sure what I think about it all. I felt like at times we were getting so much information at one time and it was overwhelming and then at other times we didn't get enough information and I just felt lost.
Astrea had some really good character development and growth throughout the story but goodness was she a ball of insecure anxiety in the beginning. I liked how confident she became but I wish she would've questioned more about what was happening around her instead of just allowing it to happen and going with everything.
Nyte was very interesting but also so freaking confusing... like I'm sorry but do we like him or not?????
the back and forth of loving each other and hating each other felt a bit too much and was just whiplash at its finest.
I will say the plot twist at the end had my jaw dropping.... i am excited to read the next book in the series to see what happens.

This little novella was gorgeous and i highly recommend it if you are a fan of pride and prejudice by Jane Austen. I really really enjoyed this novella and was kicking my feet and giggling so much at it. Jane was such a sweet heart who knew how to stand up for herself as much as she could while also making sure to be mindful of others feelings sometimes. I loved the grudge Jane had of our handsome Finn. He was honestly hilarious with the way he talked to Jane and his funny little qwips. I loved the writing style in this book as well and i am excited to read more from this author in the future.

I really enjoyed this book! Though I will say it took me a bit to get into the book, once I did, I couldn't put it down! I will say I was absolutely obsessed and invested in Lucie and Aiden and the way they met, I feel like it was just perfect. The flirting was everything!! Aiden is such a grumpy character, but boy, could he flirt! I can fully relate to both of them and their romance and love life situations. I love Aiden and his attempts to avoid his feelings; it was an adorable attempt. The writing was absolutely wonderful and so witty. The slow burn between both of them was perfect and definitely a sloooooww burn. Lucie was so optimistic about things and a "hopeless" romantic, but not too much. Aiden was definitely my favorite in this book because he was incredibly kind and thoughtful, even if he gave off this grumpy, standoffish facade. The third act conflict honestly made a lot of sense and I can see why it was necessary for it to happen. I think this book was everything and more and I LOVE Aiden and Lucie so much!!!
Brewing Up Christmas by Emily Campbell

This was a short and cute read with all the Christmas magic feels! I really liked that this book was more than your standard love story. It really focused on Christmas magic and how it makes people happy and Eli finding that happiness again was adorable. This book was light and full of cozy moments that made you feel good. I will say I was very surprised at how quickly they got together in the beginning but it turned out to be a cute book!
Dance with Me on New Year's Eve by Alana Highbury

This was such a cute and sweet romance that honestly gave me all the feels. I related so much to Roxy with social anxiety and finding it hard to talk to people in person. This book honestly does such a great job at explaining how hard it is to live with social anxiety and what it can do to you. It also did such a wonderful job in showing how important a healthy work life balance is and what can happen if you overwork yourself too much. The online romance was adorable and i loved the little twist at the end. Jeff was such an interesting character and i really like how throughout the book you start to see the many layers to him as a person. I do wish we got a bit more backstory for him though because i was very curious about his parents and family life. Lila was such a fun character and definitely made me laugh with her interactions with Roxy. I really enjoyed the character development for both characters and the plot was pretty fun. I also really like this authors writing style so i will definitely be reading more from this author. I highly recommend this book!
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

If you were on the fence or liked book 1 then I think you will like this one sooooo much more!
I ADORED wade and Ivy's story so much. The grumpy x sunshine trope was everything in this book.
Wade is such a softy under that grumpy exterior he plays into and i loved every minute of it!
and Ivy was such a sweetheart who experienced a rough childhood and a rough couple of years before she came to silver pines. She deserves all the happiness in the world. I also loved how open she was with listening to her romance books and how she wasn't afraid of people hearing it while she was listening LOL. that girl was never embarrassed and owned up to it.
ALSO the dedication??? I love it.
The way Paisley writes these men is just perfect and i am loving this series so much. This book is definitely my favorite so far but i can not wait for Cole and Ginger!!
And she did not disappoint with the spice in this book y'all
I don't want to spoil anything but i highly recommend this book.
Thank you Netgalley & Random House for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review :)

I think I’m gonna give this a 3 star
Just because it took me so much longer than it usually takes me to read a book. I just feel like the first half of the book I didn’t really want to pick it up but that also could just be a slight reading slump?
This was a spicy workplace/ “part time cowboy” romance.
This story was honestly pretty entertaining after the 30% mark but I kinda wish we got more of a slow burn. I feel like the last 40% was just them happy and together and it just felt a bit boring.
I will say the spice was pretty good until towards the end it started cringing me out….
Nash was possessive and quite jealous when it comes to Cece! But he was such a sweet and caring character and I really liked him.
Cece was a sweet and incredibly smart character and I really enjoyed seeing her become more confident and stand up for herself.
Other things I liked!
-pretty short chapters
-best friends who are nosy
-found family which is my favorite
-ginger is hilarious and I really hope she gets a book

Christmas Cancellation by Evie James

This book was adorable and i really enjoyed the Christmas feel it had to it. The relationship between our main characters definitely happened very quickly but i feel like the chemistry and connection between both of them makes up for that. Noelle has quite a bit of grief that she is slowly working through and i really liked that Kol helped her as much as he could with it. The banter between our main characters was top tier and i loved it so much. This was a cute spicy book and im excited to see what else this author writes
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Julianna Keyes

This book was such a fun and clean romance with all of the hallmark vibes you could ever want. The plot was cute and i really enjoyed that both characters were writers that were sort of competing against each other to get the promotion they wanted. I really want to visit a cute little christmas town now.
