Anthem by Ayn Rand
5.0
This book was wonderful. However, I love Ayn Rand. I'm sorry I don't do very good reviews. But I just can't think of anything to say.
The Paris Wife by Paula McLain

This book was distressing. Once I finished it, I just wanted to cry. It is about Ernest Hemingway and his first wife. Cheating on a spouse really affects me. And the way this book ended was not happy. Which, I don't expect from every book. It was very well written, however.
Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
4.0
There are somethings that I just can't handle: affairs. While this book did not focus on the small affair of Bernadette's husband. That was my main dislike. That, and the occasional F-word. Otherwise, I found this quick read to be entertaining, and well written.
The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

Interesting story, but I was disappointed in how much swearing there was. JK Rowling can write so eloquently, but instead she chose to express herself through vulgarity.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon

I know many people were outraged, because they were mad that the character did not show empathy, or recognize love. While many autistic children can get over this, and show these things, there are some that never do. I enjoyed this book because of the clear cut way it was written. It was definitely a thinking book, but a quick read.
If you are concerned about profanity, there is some mild swearing, but it comes in bouts, so it isn't throughout the whole book.
Overall, I would recommend this book if you want a different type of book.
