As always, Casey McQuiston’s writing is delightful. I enjoyed this. lot and raced through it. i
It felt like a love letter to the South and the queer kids growing up there. I think I still prefer McQuiston’s adult novels, simply because I am an adult and I’ve read so much YA at this point that I am somewhat over reading about teenagers, but that’s definitely a Me Problem. Overall, a fantastic read and it’s great to see flawed female characters getting to be kind of nasty but in a very loveable and understandable way. Look, I’ve got a lot of Chloe Green in me and a bit of Shara Wheeler too, especially when I was a teenager. It’s nice to see those kind of characters be accepted and loved by the people around them because at the end of the day, they’re just figuring stuff out.

Absolutely brilliant. Received this book early from my preorder and read it in two days. All of the characters are complex and dynamic, no more than Georgiana, who I quickly came to love despite her flaws. It's the kind of book that I couldn't help but react aloud to. At one point I involuntarily gave quite an evil chuckle which very much startled my partner! So funny but also entirely heart wrenching. The dreamy yet grounded romance which definitely felt like a modern response to Jane Austen. The writing itself is sharp and funny and altogether a delight to read. I was very sad to finish this one and as I have no idea what a sequel might be, I will simply have to wait with bated breath for another book from Lex Croucher.

So sad to let this series go. I wasn't sure about this one at first as I wrongly predicted how it was going to go. Terry Pratchett never fails to surprise me with his determination not to go down the obvious path. Even the 'villainous' characters turned out to have some spark. Tiffany has meant so much to me over the past couple of months and I don't think that will ever really go away. I didn't think I could ever love another witch more than Granny Weatherwax but here I am.

I will also add that I love Preston with my whole heart.

As good as the rest but I was disappointed by the pacing at the end. I really enjoyed the plot with Anagramma in particular.

She's back she's back she's back!

I love Tiffany and I'm very excited to read the rest of this series. The Discworld witches are truly (almost) all my idols. What wonderful women and what a wonderful fantasy world. The Mac Mac Feegles also bring me endless joy.

One more star than the last one because I thought the plot was more interesting and much more tense!

The first of the YA discworld books that I've read. Found the single POV jarring at first but otherwise it's everything one could ask for from a great Discworld book. It was great to see the return of certain characters from previous discworld books i.e.
the witches!
Excited to read more of this series!
