Not my favorite McQuiston, unfortunately! I thought it could have been a lot shorter without sacrificing the heart of the book. And every romance has frustrating character elements where you’re yelling “why are you like this??” but this one was maybe a bit too much.

A bit let down by this one. The MC was so out of control and unlikable. The premise was good, but I couldn’t get into the execution. Pretty painful and awkward at points, and it was hard to root for her. I really wanted to like it.

Enjoyable! I liked that there were parallel plots to follow aside from the main murder mystery. Not exactly lovable characters, but intriguing and interesting.

I wanted to know how it ended, but I can’t say I enjoyed it. Insufferable characters…

I loved this one so much. Human connection, fantasy, and the love of a dog. Charlie was a lovable main character, and I enjoyed every minute of reading about his life at home and in the other world. I couldn’t put this one down but also didn’t want it to end.

This was an entertaining book that I definitely wanted to keep reading to see what I could find out next. The characters were pretty difficult to like for the most part, and the podcast journalist was portrayed more like a paparazzi, which I found pretty annoying, but all in all I enjoyed this one.

Insightful, beautiful, and at times heartbreaking, this memoir makes you feel connected to the author and her struggles while making you reflect on your own.
No plot, no connection to the main character, just didn’t enjoy at all
