This was very cute and festive but a bit too insta lovey imo. Like you’ve known each other for three days what do you mean you’re falling in love??
I wasn’t really that invested and Noel and Kanton both kind of annoyed me sometimes (and Jordan really really annoyed me) but it was still a cute and festive read so if you’re looking for that with some forced proximity then I‘d still recommend it!

After seeing nothing but amazing things about this book I expected a lot and it definitely delivered!
The vibes were amazing and I loved the story, it felt very unique and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time
The writing was amazing, which sometimes didn’t feel super good because it was very disgusting sometimes…. I could imagine everything perfectly, which wasn’t always what I wanted but that just means the author did an amazing job
The only reason this isn’t more than 4 stars is that it felt a bit too long sometimes and the pacing felt a bit off. It was kind of slow at the beginning and then towards the last 100 pages everything started happening at once. Suddenly there were 1000 new plot points and twists and it felt a tiny bit too much

The Christmas Tree Farm

Laurie Gilmore

DID NOT FINISH: 54%

I should’ve dnfed this earlier because it was boring and could not hold my attention at all

Second chance romance have to be done right in my opinion because they’re not just about finding love but also dealing with the heartbreak of that love having already ended once
This book did this perfectly. I was heartbroken for both of them but at no point did I think they’re better off not being together which can sometimes happen with second chance romances (there were a few moments though where I didn’t quite know if Brighton’s leaving Charlotte at the altar was necessary. I get why she did it, I think her reasons were very valid but to me it would probably be something I’d never be able to forgive  and I feel like this reason would’ve been something they could’ve simply talked out)

This book made me cry a lot…. Like a lot more than I thought a cute little sapphic Christmas romance would. It was definitely a lot more than that and I think this book is very very beautiful and I loved every second

It also helped me get into the Christmas spirit a bit. These books always make me want to live in these little towns where Christmas is such a spectacle. There’s nothing I want more rn than to go to some cringy Christmas event tbh

This was the perfect conclusion for this series
I couldn’t stop crying near the end and I loved every second of this book
I know I said I didn’t like Gabriel after the first book but now he’s one of my favourite characters. I loved getting his POV in this book (and also in the third book)
Tyr and Gabriel broke my heart. I need more of Gabriel and Hylene so that I can see Gabriel finally find some peace

I was a bit underwhelmed when I read this for the first time but now I think that this novella is perfect to have in between Feyre's books and Nesta's story.
This is so cute and festive and it's so nice to get a reprieve from that tense and action filled story from the last three books. But it also makes you so eager to read about Cassian and Nesta so I actually love this book
And also everything SJM writes is a masterpiece in my mind even if it's just a 200 page novella about winter solstice

That ending was fucking CRUEL!!!!! I thought about taking a little break before reading the last book but that’s not happening now
I’m so glad I just started this series days before the last book came out and I don’t have to wait

Not a lot happened in this book story wise but we do finally get to explore Nadir and Lor together and see them build the foundation of their relationship. We also learn more about the history of Ouranos (which was long overdue and very necessary)
I really enjoyed this as a second book, while it was a bit slow sometimes because not a lot happened, I think it was a necessary book so that we can see more story development in the next one (hopefully)
I thought it was kind of interesting to see the fake dating trope in this fantasy setting and I loved the chemistry between Nadir and Lor
But I do have to say, Nadir kind of annoyed me sometimes. I hope that changes when they finally get together and we see another side of him that we’ve started seeing glimpses of in this book
