“Only” 3,5 because this book was too short for me to be completely invested and to feel the connection between the main characters but I did really enjoy reading this!
The writing wasn’t anything spectacular and in general this book wasn’t anything special but the representation was amazing in my opinion
The ending was beautiful, I loved seeing Jason’s team sticking up for them!
Also… the spice was spicying… that’s all I can say….🥵
I also loved seeing a bit of Erika’s journey and I really hope we get her and McKinleys story 👀
I can definitely see why others love this book because on paper this has everything I love in a dark romance
But for some reason I just couldn’t really get into it. In general I definitely enjoyed this but I was a bit bored most of the time and I just couldn’t really get into the story
I think I didn’t give this the attention it deserves tbh because I switched to the audiobook after 30% and I sometimes don’t pay enough attention when listening to audiobooks which then leads to me not liking the book as much as I would’ve if I had read it on my kindle
I’m definitely interested in the other books though, especially Lyra and Thatcher
I didn’t expect Lachlan to be such a softy deep down and to be so shy sometimes
Loved being back in this world and to see a bit of Rowan and Sloane! Didn’t enjoy this as much as the first one, but that was expected because Butcher & Blackbird was literal perfection
Can’t wait for the third book

I knew going into this that I would be left with a lot of questions but I have to say it really worked with this story
I appreciate what RuNyx did with this book and I actually really like that we didn’t get all the answers
I really liked the gothic dark academia setting even though it was a bit creepy sometimes
I am so happy right now because I LOVED this one! After I didn’t really vibe with the fourth book in this series I was a bit scared but omg this book was so good!
The plot twists had me screaming
I don’t know how I’m supposed to wait for the last book

I would like to pretend that this book isn’t part of this series because this was hella boring
I wasn’t really invested in Alpha and Zephyr and this didn’t feel like the same world as the first three books AT ALL
I just wanted to know more about the syndicate and I got a big pile of NOTHING
The last 10% were absolutely amazing, I did not expect the plot twist at the end and I was finally having a great time while reading this
If the rest of the book had been as good as the last 10% then this would’ve been amazing…. However it was not.
I didn’t love this book quite as much as I loved The Predator and The Reaper but it was still really really good.
The first half of this book was amazing. I think it was perfect for Amara and Dante’s story and it was so incredibly emotional. I was crying A LOT in the first 50%. It perfectly captured what Amara went through and how it shaped her and her friendship and relationship with Dante
I also liked the second half but I expected more/ something different and the relationship aspect between Amara and Dante felt a bit rushed to me (also there were two times were the timeline was messed up and stuff like that really annoys me)
I enjoy that with every book we get more answers but there are enough questions so that I’m still intrigued to read the next book
There are no words for what this book did to me but I’m gonna try anyway
Tristan Caine is IT everyone. This silent, broody man has won my heart
It’s actually insane to me how good these books are! I’ve read many many books with this type of mmc but Tristan is so unique with his personality. He didn’t come across like all the other silent, morally grey mmc’s at all and I feel like that is something really hard to achieve with all the books out there
The enemies to lovers aspect was done amazingly. I could really feel the hatred and the way it only fueled the sexual tension between Morana and Tristan. The way they slowly let each other in and started trusting and caring for each other felt so real and authentic
I was a sobbing mess for the last 20%, I have died dead. That epilogue?? Come on as if I didn’t love Tristan enough already.
The Predator and The Reaper are definitely up there with my favourites and I’m so excited to see what happens in the other books. I can’t wait to finally get Amara and Dante’s story
This book was SO GOOD
The tension between Morana and Tristan was unreal, I could feel it in my bones

Reread: this was even better the second time around
I would DIE for Rowan and Aelin I could start crying just thinking about them
