A fine story though I felt it progessively went downhill towards the end. I was more curious about the crow creature to be honest and I'm not sure why the other family was in it since they ended up being irrelevant. Style, a nice read and I loved the style and mysteru.

It's really not my vibe in terms of plot (I think It's a bit boring and repetitive) but that's down to taste because it is supposed to be cosy. What I feel like was really lacking is character work like there's no personality or spice to the main characters and added to the fact that we dont have any physical description (like I genuinely dont know what Cal could look like, if he's big or small??) it's hard to feel connected to the characters

gripping and emotional read, I usually don't really like non stop forward/backward in books but I found it wonderfully done in this one.

The writing style wasn't to my taste, i think it sat awkwardly in the middle between Austen and AO3, so the character's way of speaking especially felt weird. but the story was very cute and i'm really glad this book exists for a young/teen queer audience. it was a really refreshing take on historical romance.
