Wolf Hall is the book about King Henry the viii and after watching The Tudors I was little bit in awe. The King, The Queen and the Anne of-course i was in awe. And seeing Henry Cavill's Butt dint hurt either. Anyways this book is not about anyone's butt but about the story about Henry and Anne Boleyn I was so intrigued by their story that I started searching which is specifically about that particular aspect. I did quite some research about the various versions of their story available and I did find some books which i read and... what Can i say?? nothing was good enough. Some romanticized a lot and some just exaggerated the characters so much that it killed the essence. Some books were just about the Henry and Anne or Henry, Mary and Anne. It was just not enough. This book created a whole lot of political background, This showed what can a King of England can do if his ego is hurt and wants something desperately enough. This showed how a man who is quite powerful has become nothing in matter of few days and how a man started growing with silent unknown determination. SHE NAILED IT.

When a friend of mine asked me to read this and then when the second book too won Booker's prize i got this blindly that is I din't know what this book was about and when i knew i was so surprised in a good way and i was really was put off when i got to know that this was from Thomas Cromwell point of view (I dint like him in the series you see) but still i read this because i really do trust his judgement in books. I have to tell you that this book blew me away.

When i was watching the series, this is how i got introduced to our amazing Henry and Anne. I was very prejudiced. I dint like Henry the 8th or Anne or the first Cardinal or Thomas Cromwell. After reading i have mixed feeling about Henry the 8th , i still don't like Anne, I kind of like Thomas Cromwell and felt very sorry for the cardinal and the first queen Catherine, hated Thomas More who i really liked in the series. I know this is fiction based on facts but it is VERY VERY AMAZINGLY well written book. But the way things are explained in this is more political and with strategy .

Thomas Cromwell is someone who if you cant be friends with at-least don't get into his bad book. Man he does not react to insults or give away any reaction to anything that happens to him or his people or the once he love. He waits and strikes when time arises. And in some cases he makes sure that time comes and when the time arises he is ruthless. Actually he is ruthless and kills softly. I loved him. He made king trust him to no end and then he strikes. God its beautiful book. It covers many things about England or how things were. So many things that its tough to cover or for that matter remember. Its a big book and difficult to read maybe but its worthy read. Especially if you are intrigued by King Henry the 8th or just politics, kings, love, lust, power, ego, revenge and then have energy to read something like this the i assure you. You will love it.

ANNE-- Beautiful, sexy, flirty, seductive, Arrogant, stupid, jealous, dominating with a running mouth that calls the king a impotent in front of a audience. She need continues attention from the opposite sex. And she does not like any man showing interest in any one else apart from her. She as one of her lover explains she is like yes, yes, yes, yes, no. She is a tease. She is daring and has a killer instinct. And insults Kings manhood in front of other men. Which are the reasons for loosing her head.

KING-- Naive, stubborn, childish, egoistic, sensitive, falls in and out of love very easily, Aging, No heir, needs a virgin, Needs a heir.. like.. yesterday, he decides easily and does not change his mind, he is merciless at the same time a friend to many. He is careful with money and.... and he is sick and tired of Anne's attitude. And his ego is hurt big. Hence He gets the job done by his MAN. Cromwell(or as The King calls him Crumb).

CROMWELL-- Loyal to a fault, ruthless, smart, vindictive, waits for his time, No right or wrong, No guilt, does not get seduced, long term planning, And when he strikes he plans and when he plans there is no going back. He know, king knows and the victims know that too. He protects his Friends and he destroy even if they are not at fault. He is loyal to king. One word from king and he is ready for job. He was loyal to the Cardinal and he kills for his revenge for what happened to The cardinal. At the same time makes sure that the Kings wishes are fulfilled. He realizes he might go down once this job finishes but that not stop him doing his job.

On the whole one of the best books i have read. This is better than [b:Wolf Hall|6101138|Wolf Hall (Thomas Cromwell, #1)|Hilary Mantel|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1336576165s/6101138.jpg|6278354]

JOHN GREEN... You sadistic son of a bitch... You horrible horrible man. What made you write this book???? Why do you have to write this book at all??? Are you Augustus to some Hazel??? god you are horrible. I knew this was tragedy but i din't know this was romantic fucking tragedy!!!

Above lines were written when i just finished this book and I have to tell you I get emotional while reading a book. Especially when its a tragedy. The writing is amazing, The story is tragedy. Not one but all the characters have tragic life. Don't you think that's going little over the top. Am not sure.

You remember your teenage years where every this is "exaggerated"??? Like your first crush.. you feel as if your life is depended upon them. Your friends.. you would not know how life will be without them, You will not find better torturers than your parents. Well at that point of time when your flying high with life. Where everything is awesome or worse you find out that you are going to die a horrible death and then find a friend who is going go bline in few days and you fall in love with a person who will also have a horrible death. WOW.. There is such a bloody cute romantic story in there that even if you know some one is going to die by the end you cant help but finish the damn book. BUt The light humor, incredibly cute little love story..... I was smiling........... smiling......... smiling....... and then my eyes got little intense because i was reading very seriously and then SHIT HIT THE FAN. I was crying. And I hate crying. So what i don't get is. Weather i like this book or not. Hence the 3 starts.
