This book felt wild and quiet all at the same time. I love books that explore a darker side to childbirth and motherhood. Good commentary, good creep factor, and a satisfying ending! I wish it got a little darker at the end, but I was still super entertained.

I love the way this ending made me feel. And the Afterword was everything. I will literally read anything Nat Cassidy writes.

I have a special place in my heart for a story like this where the main character doesn't feel she fits in anywhere. I empathized with our main character here and it made her feel more real. I was also shocked when I realized what was actually happening in this story and the ending was absolutely bananas. I couldn't stop reading once we hit the "twist." I love Rachel Harrison and everything she writes.

I felt bored, even half way through. There were a few mysterious things happening but it also felt a little familiar. I've read something similar before and I didn't feel especially motivated to finish. Maybe another time.

This book was beautifully written and so haunting. I devoured this book and I'm still thinking about it.

This is a DNF at page 91. I read 11 of the 20 stories in here and most of them suffer from being too short. So many of these stories have potential but I’m finding myself confused and unable to gain much from what I’m reading. Not sure if I’ll pick this up again in the future.
