A bit of a slow read, it's both very different and similar to Sandersons newer works, you can see how he's grown as an author but for a debut novel this is one of the best. Loved the world, the magic, the characters and the plot. Quite a simple, enjoyable read and the ending was perfect!

This was sweet! Answered some questions and gave us a little snippet on where some of the characters from Elantris are now. Would definitely recommend reading straight after Elantris.

1st read: Kelsier!!! I'm so glad to have read this and to revisit a place that I love so much.

Brandon Sanderson explains in the Arcanum Unbounded book why he wrote this short story and why it was quick, to the point and focused mainly on the world and the magic system which I think helped me appreciate this little story even more.

2nd read: Same rating both times round. I love Brandon Sandersons Postscripts in Arcanum Unbounded, it feels personal and helps us feel more connected to him not only as an author but as a person who has a lot of love and passion for his hobbies & his work of course. I'm obsessed with this being a starter setting for an RPG.

It was an enjoyable read but he's definitely got better short stories; The Emperor's Soul, Secret History & The Hope of Elantris being my favourites.

Also I think I've lost a bit of love for Kelsier, I adored him when I read Mistborn Era 1 but the more he gets mentioned the less interested I feel about him which is unfortunate.

This wasn't as good as the first, I lost interest. I'm not sure I'm invested in the mission and this story being more focused on Anya spoilt it a little for me.

I'm so glad I enjoyed this, it was a steady, fun, atmospheric read all the way through and I loved the way it ended! Looking forward to reading Hell Bent!

Wowser, that was a tough read this time around. Karin's books are all really graphic and hard-hitting, which I like in my thrillers, but god, was this a tough read!

This is also a reread, and I can't remember being so shook by it the first time!

I have given this book an extra star as I've grown to appreciate the storytelling a bit more this time around, but it's still one I wouldn't say I 'enjoyed' and I'm unsure if I'd give this another read in the future.

I knew I'd enjoy this after watching the Netflix adaptation, but, I REALLY loved this. I'm so excited now for the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this for what it was, it's not a story that has twists and turns, you're just there for the ride.

Mexican Gothic is a fun, atmospheric read with a cool plot and strong characters, it's a well written story and I'd definitely read more from Silvia Moreno-Garcia.

Warbreaker started and ended really strong, I definitely think that it could have been shorter, it was a drag to get through the middle section.

I did really enjoy the magic system and the characters in this book, although I do believe that I could have liked some of the characters a lot sooner if the story itself wasn't so dragged out.

So I'm definitely into more character driven books than plot driven I guess??

I loved the characters in this book, not as good as The Seven Husband's of Evelyn Hugo in my opinion but I still had a good time.

Malibu Rising is about; love, life, loss and most of all, family. I loved that this was centred around a family with struggles, it's not something I've really read before, I haven't delved into contemporary much and I'm enjoying trying different things and finding things I love in my reading taste.

Also, Taylor Jenkins Reid's writing is just so beautiful!!
