I was listening to it and kept falling asleep. This is unusual for me I do not fall asleep easily, and not when watching TV or listening to books.

It took a while for the book to grab my attention. It was worth continuing to read. The characters are complex, capable of good and evil. What choices would I have made in WW II Germany?

I am quitting this book, I usually really enjoy books set in oriental countries, but not this one. I got confused during the stories bout the embalmer. The focus on his virginity and his masturbation turned me off.

I am ready to read the second book in the trilogy. The characters held my attention and moved the story forward. I enjoy historical fiction.

Nice light read for a cold cold winter's day. A cute love story that made me grin in spots. Some good sex without being too explicit. A little bit of tension so it wasn't too sweet.
