Still Me by Jojo Moyes

I understand that this is the third book in a series and although I haven't read the other two I really liked this book. It stands on it's own and now I will have to read the others. It's delightful, funny, heartbreaking, and it shows just how tough we humans can be.

The Woman in the Woods by John Connolly

Not great. I should have read the beginning chapters and the last few. It was to many stories to be told. You had the life of a woman, a book, people searching for the book, all these "God's" and it was to much to keep straight. I had to force myself to finish it. I really didn't enjoy picking up a book to read that felt like work.

This is a great murder mystery and gives many ideas of who the killer is, but can you guess correctly? The art world meets it's match. Great story.

Was I the only one getting so mad that she kept going back for more abuse. I couldn't get my head around why she'd put up with so much from the mother-in-law to be and then all the crap from the fiance. I of course understand it's all part of the book and it's twist at the end. It just got to me that someone with such a great life and job would fall into these traps in a relationship and go back for more. It however was a good hook and had me reading until the end.

What a tale of friendship and love. I don't think I could have kept my mouth shut about Jack being bus boy, but then you wouldn't have a book to read. LOL
The Library Book by Susan Orlean

This was a great book. It wasn't just about the library fire. It contained more information about libraries and the transitions between topics was done well. I am so glad this book of non-fiction was picked as book of the month!
Writing Down Your Soul: How to Activate and Listen to the Extraordinary Voice Within by Janet Conner

I can't wait to start writing!! I have always believed that writing can be a release, but I never thought of it in the way Janet talks about it in the book. I am more than happy to try I have nothing to lose and may just gain a whole new way of life. I liked the book so much I will be buying copies for people I know that will love it as well.

This is a quick read, but it has such meaning and power behind every word. Great advice and can't wait to read more books by her.
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

What a great book. This was written so well that you'd think it was a non fiction book. It reads with such rhythm it's hard to put down. The characters in this book feel so real and you're heart just breaks at what they each have to go through. I can see why this book won the Pulitzer Prize.
