not even sure what i thought of this book honestly. i thought it was ONE book but it ends on a cliffhanger and not one i want to continue to read about. i do like all the action and fighting and angst, but there were a lotttt of weird scenes. kind of felt like he was cheating with her power thing idk.

not sure how to feel, but give it a solid 2.5. probably would not read again. i really did love the action, so would read just for that.

I truly do not believe better characters have ever been written
Eamon and Norah are perfect, for each other and as characters. This book was such a good read full of banter, wonderful and loving characters, and such an amazing story.

This is the first Irish romance l've ever read (and now that l've read one, l'm hooked!) and it went above and beyond my expectations. A wondertul, beautitul, and deep read full of love, trauma, healing, and finding family and peace. So many amazing tropes wrapped into a single book, and written WONDERFULLY!

L. Ballew, you have OUTDONE yourself! I cannot wait for the rest of the series and will continue to binge Norah and Eamon's story until they arrive e

is it possible to like this book more than the first? apparently yes. 5 stars easily, will read again, and very happily.

i love this series. waiting until spring of 2025 for the 3rd book.

love itttt. had to put off for so long because of work but ended up binging and finishing in a day. started immediately on the sequel.

it did feel a little wattpad-y at times. lots of β€œam’s” when it could have/should have been combined.

would read again, but will say the first book is very limited on the romance. it’s a very long intro, but lots of angst.

overall, yes ⭐️

i can genuinely say i have never in my life been more confused. literally never. i lost track about halfway through and characters kept coming and dying and idk what happened but then the MC was dead and then he was alive again. longest read of my life (not really, 8ish hours) and i was never fully interested. it did start out strong. i don’t think mafia romances are my thing.

basically, do not read again.

wooo good book 🎊 finished in about 7 hours (in between work 😞) . i loved the first chapter, but the second was so hard to get through honestly. nova/jonathan talks so weird and it all blends together. also quite a few typos with his name??? but i loved it. fast paced and a good read.

would i read again? no but i like it πŸ‘
