I am about to start book 3 now! This series is super addicting and I really enjoy it!
The only issue I had with this book was how repetitive it was. I didn’t need a repeat of constant reminders of what happened in the first book; it could’ve saved a lot of time and unnecessary pages. It was slower than book 1 but I have a feeling things will kick up a notch in the next book!
I’m excited to keep reading this series!

This should’ve been called “the story of Morgan geyser” since that seemed to be the only person the author cared about. I understand she only got to interview her and no one else, but still.
The bias is clear from the author, she shows more compassion to the perpetrators than the victim. It’s very irritating. If this was an essay to show every reason why you should feel sorry for someone who tried to murder their best friend at age 12, this would be it.
Not to mention, I should’ve looked at who the author was. She’s a problem. You can google it if you don’t know; which makes this story make much more sense on her thought process. If you want to learn more about the case without a bias view, I would look for something else to read.

Pretty good read form as short stories go! I liked them all, the first one was great. That was the best one of the book imo. The second one was creepy as heck and it was well written. Really had you thinking about it after the fact. The last one wasn’t my favorite but it was okay.
All in all, fun book of darker short stories!

What a fun manga!
This is an entertaining story. I love the uniqueness of it, the characters, the fun, and the beginning of this journey! It’s going to be a long one, but I’m excited to continue the series! If you like pirates with a twist of stretchy ability, you’ll love this!

As much as I enjoyed this book, some of it seemed repetitive and unnecessary. It kind of dragged on for me, especially in the middle. It took me awhile to finish it  to be honest. The ending was great though! Once everything came together, it was totally worth it. That being said, I’m glad I kept with it! Overall, I would recommend this book.

Good and decent read!
It’s sad but also hopeful. I would say the synopsis is misleading to be honest, nothing really happens in the way it’s leading it to. If that makes sense? It’s not a paranormal story or anything scary per se.
The characters all have a death sentence driven by a disease or cancer. They deal with it in their own terms but come together to tell stories every night at midnight; hence, The midnight club.
Knowing there’s only death ahead of the characters, the stories seem to be a brief reprieve from their coming demise. It’s a sense of hope and life when it seems to be dwindling.
I really enjoyed all the small stories scattered throughout the sadness of the characters stories. It was a nice ending and I enjoyed this book!

The co-dependency is FIERCE with this one.
Should’ve listened to the pussycat dolls (I don’t need a man) on repeat at the therapists office…
I have been trying to sort out my true feelings of this book...
Pros: fast paced, interesting plot, wanted to finish it. Good writing. Didn’t hate it? Kind of did? Can’t figure it out?
Cons: Super depressing character, Annie was also very annoying, therefore had me annoyed.
Book is 80% depressed Annie constantly asking for validation for her existence, 10% witchy, and 10% finally learning to be alone.
Oh, & there’s a cute spider she’s “friends” with except it’s a spy for Sophie. Smh. So it’s not even a real friend.
I don’t know. I didn’t like how her students treated her as a teacher, but then when something bad happens she just, didn’t even care? Like they’re, kids… I just didn’t like Annie at all.
