This is my second book I’ve read by A.M. McCoy, and she sure doesn’t disappoint! A.M. McCoy has an amazing way balancing high amounts of spice with an engaging storyline; so don’t expect straight smut.

I enjoyed this story so much! Peyton & Lincoln/Dane are flawed characters, who are just trying to piece themselves back together in very different ways. Dane has two very different sides to his personality, so watching how he fights to show Peyton both sides was fun ride.

While I immensely enjoyed this whole book, the last 15% was truly my favorite; we saw a whole new side to Lincoln/Dane. There is just something so sweet about a dangerous man being open and vulnerable with the woman that he loves.

*I was gifted an ARC of this book*

What better romance to read this summer than a romance that takes place between a driven Olympics Worker & an Olympic Sprinter?!

Read this book if you like:
🏅British-Zimbabwe Main Characters
🏅A Meet-Disaster instead of a Meet-Cute
🏅Sweet Closed Door Romance
🏅MCs that are driven by ambition, goals & the expectations of their immigrant families
🏅An Olympic Backdrop
🏅Found Family
🏅Discussions around nepotism
🏅Anxiety & Mental Health Representation

This was such a sweet romance, yet it also tackled some heavier topics such as family expectations, nepotism, societal expectations, mental health struggles, and grief.

📝 3rd Person; Baseball Romance with Trans & Mental Health Representation
❤️ Published April 9, 2024 ❤️

This book right here is simply Trans joy and I loved every minute of reading it! It’s a story about a Trans Man finding his place (and love) while being a member of a Minor League Baseball Team in the PNW. The characters are well crafted and so incredibly lovable. You can’t help but to root for the Beaverton Beavers or for Gene & Luis as a couple!

When I say that this is a sports romance, I truly mean it! Not just the fact that the MCs play baseball, but everything about this book revolves around these characters love for baseball and their team. I had no idea how much I didn’t know about this sport before going into this book.

I enjoyed this book so much, I was easily able to overlook the fact that the MC chose the name Gene and that it’s told in 3rd Person.
