Aside from a few moments I found slightly cringe or rushed, this is another banger from Ann Liang. I had fun and couldn’t put it down, so 4.75 stars

I had high hopes for this because the author’s other book, The House in the Cerulean Sea, is one of my favorites. But this one felt like he copy and pasted the characters from that one into a different premise. It also dragged on and was very repetitive with not much happening for most of the book so it took me 4 months to read it. However I did cry at the end so props for that.
