This book is now very important to me. The way Adèle portrayed the hatred of being stuck in conventional ways was real and raw. I found it so interesting how Slimani writes about the human body and the ways in which Adèle craves it in an almost out-of-body way. I will come back to this book.

Never read a non fiction on this topic before. Really interesting Moroccan feminist literature. The writing is captivating and the stories that are told are rich and diverse, showing the multiple facets of life as a woman in Morocco.

A beautifully sad story about the AIDS epidemic told through the fictional lives of a group of male friends. Loved so many things about this book and clearly a lot of thought was put into it. Would recommend it to everyone.

Some nice passages. Not her best work. We still love her though.

Did not like the style of writing. Could t get into it and therefore couldn't pick up the story where I left it very well.

This book is bleak and sad. I really enjoyed the story and the way the writing really made you feel what was happening.

I liked the writing but story not gripping enough. Perhaps more in the mood for something straight forward.
