I loved how much 100% match made me squirm and feel gross and just generally got a reaction out of me so I decided to read this one. It kinda sucked. I found it to be written so differently which I guess makes sense given it’s POV from a different character but I just didn’t really react and it was so much ‘I hate men’ talk (which true, slay) but that was just boring when she repeated it so many times. It was just meh

I absolutely loved the writing style of this book. I giggled out loud, I felt grossed out, I felt empathy. And when a book really makes you feel it’s a good one. The story was very interesting, a really great take on an apocalyptic setting with such good development. I assume in the sequel the cause of the apocalypse will be explained? Either way it was good!

I think I’m gonna think about this book for a while. It’s very much poetry. I don’t really know what happened and I can’t tell how much of it was real. The only way I can really describe this book is ‘moist’. It made me feel something and I’m not sure what it made me feel yet but I really did enjoy this book.

This book was just horrible, it was a book purely made for shock value. There was no actual substance. The plot didn’t actually make sense and there was so many contradictions with how the monsters looked and acted. The book itself was written poorly and the characters were shallow and stupid. The scenes were just so unnecessary and disgusting in a non tasteful way that other extreme horror is. Would not recommend this to anyone. Only gets a 1/4 star for an interesting concept and the start being decent.

This was really messed up but a really unique concept. It was written really well and the ending was really tense and fast paced. There was so many layers to the characters and the world building they did for this was really good. A scary thought though for how real it could be.

I rated this a little lower than Neon Gods because I didn’t like Psyche as much as I liked Persephone. I felt like the character didn’t have as much depth as her sister. I liked Eros but I found it strange how quickly he turned from cold and calculated to in love and ooey gooey. But I still devoured it and loved the intensity of the story.

I’m not a romance reader (as you can very much see from my profile) but I devoured this book. I love a good mythology retelling and this one was mwah! Can’t wait to read the next one. The ending was quite cheesy though lol

I found this book to be a fun read. I found the main character oddly relatable and her internal monologue to be quite realistic to mine (I have BPD). I found myself laughing, sad, tense and at the end I was smiling ear to ear. The ending was the perfect wrap up of the book and I really enjoyed it.

Okay this was royally f*cked but is it bad to say I loved it. It was written so well, the imagery was (grossly) descriptive, the way this absolute grotty man thought he was king of the world, the crazy woman, the gross mother. All of it was so gross but so good.

They way I gasped at the ending, oh gosh this was a ride. Amazing, felt slow at times but each bit was suspenseful. I was never guessing what was going to happen and I felt the ending was just amazing. But because it was slow I couldn’t give it 5 stars.
