Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella

I needed a book to last a four hour flight so I decided to save this until last. I'm pleased I did, I wanted a book I wouldn't get bored of and that I would spend a lot of time reading. I have never read a Sophie Kinsella book before but I have heard good things about her books and her writing. Iwas very interested in this book straight away. I liked the fact that it was a little different from the books that I read whilst I was away. I would not have done what Lara did, I would have ignored the voice and just got on with life. Sadie wasn't a character that I warmed to straight away, it did take a while for me to like her. I felt sorry for Lara to have to put up with her.

I loved the story, the idea, and it was written very well. I enjoyed every minute of reading this book and I loved the ending, although it was a little sad. When the truth all came out I was very happy as a certain arrogant character who I didn't like got their comeuppance.

By far my favourite Jill Mansell book out of the one's that I have read. I loved all the characters (apart from Seb and Liana who as soon as they were introduced I took a disliking to for reasons I wasn't sure about until near the end of the book).

I felt so bad for Cressida, she had found someone she truly liked but it seemed as though the world and his wife was against them being together. Thank heavens for Jojo (although the readers do get a fright towards the end of the book).

I just couldn't really fault this book I don't think. I felt bad for Mario but in a way he kind of deserved what happened.

All in all there were happy endings all round, well, at least I thought so :)

I really enjoyed the book in the end, although it did take a while for me to get into it. As I said Molly was my favourite character and I loved reading her story and even teared up a little at the end. I really felt sorry for Eve but that was it for that character, I wasn't rushing to read her letters. Julie (and the people reading her blog) gave me the most laughs in the book however I felt that she was quite self centered and I was glad she saw sense in the end.

All in all the book was good but not great, I would have rathered the whole story maybe revolving around Molly and she read Julie's blog so it could combine the two that way.

Wow. What can I say? This book had me gripped from the first page. Throughout it I was dying to find out who people were (such as Gina) and why she didn't really talk to her sister (who was her best friend) and why the love of her life (her husband) hated her. I genuinely couldn't put this down, I HAD to know what would happen next. Although one thing was obvious to me and that was when some memories would return. To be honest I didn't want that to happen and I was quite frustrated when it did (I get a little angry when stories don't go my way, haha, I get too into these books).

However, everything worked out the way I wanted too in the end, there was even a few surprises which really made me smile. I felt sorry for Elisabeth the most and reading her part of the story brought me to tears at times.

I would definitely recommend this to everyone and I will most certainly read it again.

This book was incredible. Confusing at first but you get used to it and begin to understand why you're in one place one minute and then something completely different happens the next. Henry and Clare are such an adorable couple. Henry has been Clare's soulmate since she was six and that never changed. I must admit tears were shed whilst reading this book. Many horrific things happened to them in such a short space of time, but good came out of that eventually.

The ending was what was expected, but a small smile works its way onto your face in the last chapter and you realise it was always going to happen and it was comforting that he was a time traveler.

A truly amazing book, I shall be reading her new book.

This book has an interesting plot to it, however I don't think it was as interesting as it could have been. There could have been more humour too (although there was some). I didn't really like any of the female characters apart from Marian. I'm not sure Posy deserved the ending she got. Her sister, Fleur, wasn't incredibly nice or supportive and her best friend Leah was... A little selfish and crazy about men (it's really no wonder why she couldn't get a boyfriend). And Posy's mother Jonquil was rather frustrating.

I liked all the male characters and I felt that Matt didn't deserve what Posy did after he proposed. Adam was a fairly sweet character but she still thought bad of him. Chris was a nice character although he did push his luck sometimes. And then there was "Lord Voldemort" I was surprised at what earned him that title as I felt that it wasn't... Well, evil enough. It was pretty tame, I thought it would be something horrific.

The ending was fairly obvious and I'm not sure there was any need for an epilogue although it was interesting to read.

I am in awe of this book. It was just an incredible read. The way it was written was brilliant and I liked how she portrayed the different characters. There was only one that I didn't really like, there was something about his personality which, for me, made Lily's choice easy. I loved how Ben came back into her life and that he never forgot her either. What made this book the whole five stars was the ending. It was beautifully written and the choice she made was the best one for everyone.

It gave me goosebumps. I'll be definitely reading this again and look further into more books that she has written.

I really like this series. But there's one problem I have with it which so happens to be the main character. She's just so easily swain, it's so frustrating! I loved the story but some characters such as Alex's ex girlfriend (whose name I won't try to spell). I wanted her to just leave, like Lou. I'm not surprised Angela left London with a best friend and mum like that. Lou was putting all these thoughts into her head that weren't even true. To be honest I think she just did that because in a way she wanted Alex to be like another Mark, or just to get her to come back for her party.

There were a few new characters in the book, but not as many as last time. In this installment of the I Heart series, Angela is going to Paris with Alex as he's doing a festival there. She then tells Mary about her trip and then the next thing she knows she has to write a piece of Belle magazine, even though she's never even read it. Her trip to Paris had an explosive start (literally) which was quite amusing. Once she had arrived she was instantly suspicious of this girl seen with Alex in a cafe and then things start to go wrong for her. Even though she did overreact and I wish she would stop running off to other countries when things go wrong for her.

I really liked the Graham character, he was the level headed and rational friend that Angie should have listened to and always managed to get her out of trouble. Two other new characters that were only in it briefly were Angela's biggest fans. They made me laugh so much and I think they made Angela see sense. I did actually miss Jenny in this book and I loved it when she had a go at Angela about leaving to London. She would make such a great friend (just not when she's drunk).

There's a lot of twists and turns in this story. When you think everything is going fine suddenly loads of drama just hits you. Most, nearly all, of it was Angela's own fault. She needed this drama to happen because I felt that she needed a slap in the fact sometimes to realise what she was saying and doing.

If you liked the last book then you will really enjoy this. I'm not sure if I enjoyed this more than the last one as it was just as good... Although more of the characters annoyed me in this one, the plot was still strong.
A WAG Abroad by Alison Kervin

Okay, two months ago I got the sequel to The WAG’s Diary by Alison Kervin. As the title suggest this was called A WAG Abroad. Now after going through a phase of horror I decided I wanted a changed which caused me to start reading The WAG’s Diary. I had never read a book like it, I was laughing hysterically when I had finished the book I immediately went online to see where I could pick up the next installment and after months of waiting I finally got it.

I promised myself that I was going to save it for my holiday (after all it was deemed to be the perfect beach read) but I just couldn’t help myself! After feeling bored and somewhat lonely yesterday I couldn’t resist the temptation any longer and had to pick it up. And I’m glad I did!
Tracie Martin is the typical stereotype of any WAG or plastic. Blonde, orange, caked in make-up, short skirts, hardly wears underwear - the lot! This is all told from her perspective - it’s her diary. In this book you see her arrive in L.A (well after she nearly got arrested for carrying weapons on a plane). Everything is turned upside down, there’s no one else there like her and she cannot understand it! Straight away we meet a new character called Jamie who you instantly think she’s going to have an affair with, he just seems that type of character! But what happens is far more shocking (although I kinda predicted it would happen).

When Tracie was told that she was going to L.A the first thing she thought of was that she was finally going to meet the Beckhams (Victoria Beckham is her idol, her God) and in a stunt where she tries to meet them she ends up dying their pool black and half the flowers in their garden blue! Another chance comes for her to meet them at a place where her husband Dean was going to go. However things are never that simple for Tracie. She ends up becoming friends with three armed men who are regulars on America’s Most Wanted who she then goes on to threaten some girls who are picking on her tom-boy daughter Paskia-Rose.

Paskia-Rose becomes friends with a very religious girl called Mary and falls for her brother called Joseph. Due to a misunderstanding on the phone her dad rushes over to their house to have words with their son. A little later on their parents invite them round. So they can all get to know each other better. On the surface they seem very straight laced, completely religious, never done anything wrong in their entires lives. But they too are hiding an hysterical secret.
This is a book I urge you all to read, even if you don’t like these types of books! It’s just so funny and balanced with drama.
