Such an interesting premise. I’ve never read a fantasy book quite like this. It has a lot of the tropes and feelings we all love with an enemies to lovers story, but feels fresh and unique. Loved the main characters and the quest. Very excited for book 2 and will definitely be keeping an eye out for more books by this author.
(I’m a harsh rater when it comes to books, but this was very close to 5⭐️)

This book’s main trope is reluctant Insta-love. The characters were obsessed with each other from the first page yet the reader is supposed to think its enemies to lovers? Clunky and awkward dialogue and cringey date scenes.  Overall I only finished it cause I wanted to reach my reading goal for the year, would not recommend.
