Another day, another Chestnut Springs book. I think Cade has to be one of my favorite male main characters I have ever read in a romance novel (and there’s something about a single dad doing the best he can that really does it for me)

Overall, I’m still loving this series and can’t wait to see what comes next.

I’m an absolute sucker for a good romance novel and that’s exactly what this was. Definitely can’t wait to see what the rest of this series brings.

What if you could go back in life, undo all of the choices you’ve ever made and make new ones? That’s what main character, Ellie Baker is about to find out.

Although I like the idea of this book, the main character is literally the worst person I ever met and it was a definite struggle to finish this book.

My first thoughts after finishing this book are: holy hell, what the fuck did I just read?

This sci-fi novel dives in head first on what it’s like to be human when everything else is stripped away from us. It brings up questions about time and does it really exist and what other things solely exist because of humanity. Although the ending leaves you hanging, I feel like that’s what life and being human is all about: never really having the answers to all of the questions.

Honestly, this book is going to stay with me a very long time. I love when a book makes me sit back and think every few pages.

An easy-read thriller with an unreliable narrator that blurs the line between what is real and what is made up. Every and nothing happened in this book and I think that’s why it was a little bit of a let down for me.

Penitence: the action of feeling or showing sorrow and regret for having done wrong

A heartbreaking, powerful read about lifelong secrets, deep seated regret and how sometimes all we need is a little bit of forgiveness in order to move on from our past mistakes.

This was truly a gripping thriller that kept me guessing up until the end. It had strong characters and twists that you’ll never see coming. One of my favorite books this year so far.

A fast paced thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The storyline was different from anything I’ve ever read before.

This book fell a little flat for me—the entire storyline just felt forced. It felt like everything and nothing was going on at the same time.

This is about the heartbreaking true story of Marguerite de la Rocque de Roberval, who was an orphaned noblewomen in the 16th century. She sets out to sea with her cousin and after she betrays him, is set to live on an island, along with her nurse, lover and unborn child. After all three perish, she is forced to live in solitude and find the strength to carry on.

This book was beautifully written and the imagery was top tier. It tells of the strength of women when put in the worst situations and how they can endure anything with just a little bit of faith.
