this was very basic stuff for me but it was so well written i almost cried. a very engaging essay/letter/book

"Do you have a headache after reading all this? Sorry. Next time don't ask me how to raise your daughter feminist." this line was cute af and a killer closing line

this book made me cry like 7 times so. 5 stars
the patients storylines were all so interesting, but i feel like she didnt write her own story as well as the patients, which made it kinda dull...
reading her thought process behind conversations was so strange/new/what because she puts so much thought and deliberation into each phrase....i dont think ive ever thought that hard about anything ive said in my entire life
i tried to find ritas art and decided to do so by googling the most identifiable phrase, 'old people still fuck'/ i dont know WHAT possessed me to think id have any luck with google images DONT repeat my mistakes

--nts: quotes are in google keep

3.5? it was mostly boring but a little wild and unhinged, ya know?
the whole book i was sitting at the edge of my seat seeing the date tick closer to 9/11...alas the conclusion was pretty rushed so i was somewhat let down
it was an interesting character exploration tho :0
mostly really liked the writing, except for all the long ass lists of random things i didn't know
I have no idea who id recommend this book to. if ur not depressed it won't really strike a chord. if u are depressed it's gonna make u feel worse. lose-lose scenario
I feel like this author would write REEALLY compelling sci-fi for some reason?? if she has a sci-fi novel I WILL get my little raccoon hands on it...

why were there so many HP references....hamilton i can tolerate....but HP???????????

i read through even though each hp reference made me burst a blood vessel. wouldve been more fun if they kept referencing pjo as The Nerdy Childhood Nostalgia Media (also, id get to grin smugly at the meta adhd rep). has anyone read a book where they write nerdy characters with actually nerdy interests? i feel like its always hp and star wars? which are both pretty much mainstream pop culture that trying to write them as a nerdy thing feels so disconnected from actual people u meet :/// idkkk im just bored of it. i want a characters whos like....addicted to ants canada and cries every time they lose a colony. what im saying here is i need to write a book and make my sister the protagonist.
the first half of the book was super fun but then the second half was a total snooze :( as soon as the detective mission ended and they started having feelings and drama......................i got bored
when they bring out the sexy times i bring out my meme. but hey! the book had 1 asexual side character! :D juliet
