This book had me gripped from the start. The plot was intriguing and different to anything I have read before. Although some bits of the main characters backstory were hard to read, it made you root for her even more. I was on the edge of my seat throughout reading, not knowing what was going to happen next! I was slightly underwhelmed by the ending, hence the 4 stars, but still very much enjoyed the read. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a tense read!

This books was dark, emotional and yet heartwarming. The topic it covers can be complicated, but the author approaches it in a sensitive yet accurate way. I enjoyed the progression of all characters and the fact that it didn’t just focus on the ‘flaws’ of the characters.
