First Impressions
Ecstasy Untamed was a interesting story and not what I expected. There are some authors I just trust to deliver completely and this is one of those authors, that is how much I trust her. However, having said that, I didn't do any research on this book nor did I expect this to have a bit a love triangle type of conflict. Now its not a straight up love triangle but the first 35% or so you aren't sure what is actually happening there. So I found it quite interesting since this dynamic and the way the conflict was introduced was very different for a paranormal romance.

First Line
White-hot rage glowed, burning away his mind until only banked coals remained, coals ready to erupt into flame at the slightest stir of thought, of consciousness.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Hawke
The Heroine: Faith

Summary
Faith is living in eastern europe, making an effort to help young girls that are being forced to be sex workers and trying to inspire them to make more positive change in their lives. When a mysterious man comes to her on the streets and she feels a connection to him and he claims her to be his mate, having been part of the people and have lived for centuries, she knows how important the Feral Warriors are against the evils in their worlds, as they are like royalty for their people. She knows she can't resist a mating bond. When she arrives though to the home of the Feral Warriors, she starts to have doubts about the mating bond and she has a connection to one of the other Feral Warriors, a warrior is at odds with his spirit animal. But she has a bond with another and she is feeling torn about which man she should go with ....but when she learns the truth .....her heart will answer the call on her path moving forward....

What I Loved
I really loved the complexicity of the relationship that is shown here. Even though I am not a big fan of the three way conflict....what I did love was seeing the angst emotional moments between these characters. I really had to read the blurb at first because I was confused on who the real hero would actually be. To be honest you don't really know until they arrive at the Feral Warriors home. I really loved the connection between Faith and Hawke. Its a very insta love in that respect, but with each chapter we see that chemistry just build between them. I really enjoyed both of these characters. I felt so heartbroken for Faith and what she has to go through in this book. I am also relieved that some things she didn't keep a secret for too long, that she does come out with the truth on it. And the way the truths are all revealed, I actually really liked. There was such a intensity to this book that kept me on the edge of my seat and where I didn't want to put this one down.

What I truly loved was the alpha vibes in this book, the edgy thrills of the paranormal world that this author created and how fascinated I was into this world again and how much I have missed so many of these characters.

What I Struggled With
I wasn't a fan of the love triangle type of aspect, it definitely was a turn off for me especially since I wasn't aware of it going in (and yes thats my own fault lol) but it still affected my overall enjoyment of this story and what kept it from being a five star read.

Narration
It was wonderful.....I think this is the first time I have done a audio for this series and it definitely won't be the last as I work my way through this series.

Overall View
Ecstasy Untamed was a intense filled story that kept me hooked all the way through, it had a plot that kept adding thrills and edges to it that will fascinate the reader and only want more from....

First Impressions
So in the Hidden Moon I was able to buddy read this one with "Whiskey In The Jar" and it was blast doing so. I really loved the way in which we were able to do this together. This is an author I have been meaning to read much more of but honestly just kept forgetting about and now that I have read this one, she is definitely going to become much more of a priority. Because while this wasn't a perfect romance....it was a very well written story and I want to do much more of these and honestly I love this setting and era and not many authors write in it, in fact, very few do. And it had such genuine diversity in it and not any of that race swap so many authors do these days now.

First Line
At night, the imperial captal became a place of lanterns and shadows.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Gao
The Heroine: Wei Wei Bai

Summary
Lady Bai, Wei-wei is the only girl in her family and is completely devoted to her family. But there is a part of her that yearns for something more than what is expected of her from family and societal expectations. When her brother gets caught up in a murder mystery involving some high officials of the Emperor, she keeps running in the rogue of the underground....Gao. There is not much known about Gao or even if he is truly trustworthy, but Wei Wei knows that she can trust him. He is like a steady rock in a flowing stream that keeps her steady and balanced. Through a course of events Gao and Wei Wei work together to solve a mystery.....but will they be able to solve the mystery and even more importantly find their way against the boundaries that keep them apart from investing in anything more serious than a platonic relationship?

What I Loved
I really experienced such a fun time with "The Hidden Moon". This is a story its better to know the amount of the romance level that you will be experiencing though. Keep in mind that the romance isn't necessarily the focus of the book....its more the mystery that drives the plot, the romance felt more in the back but there is still a good focus of it....however romance readers that expect the romance to be full frontal of the story will need to be prepared for the aspects of it here. I would say its 1/2 mystery and 1/2 romance. It felt split between the two elements but the way the author brings it all together really works very well. o

She is a fascinating author and I loved how she captured the culture and history so well in this one. You can tell she definitely does her research and writes so well a story that is detailed and vivid in the details. I felt the chemistry between our pair very quickly. Every moment that they are together were honestly my favorite moments of the book. Yeah the mystery was kinda cool and I liked how it kept me guessing. But what really motivated me to stick with this book was the love story that was building between Gao and Wei Wei. I was really impressed with the heroine. Because even though she did have some bluestocking tendancies, she also still retained her femininity and softness and care she had for others. I loved her thoughtful and graceful nature, how meticulous her intelligence is and how attentive she is of those around her. The hero is a bit of a rake, he has worked in the underground of the city and doesn't have a super clean white past. He has a ruggedness about him.....like a jungle cat. The way in which he fights for Wei Wei was really beautiful. And the third act was the best part of the book!!! LOVED how they reached their HEA .....truly satisfying.

What I Struggled With
My issue was while the mystery was nice....it was too focused in the story. I definitely wanted more romance in this book. I loved their connection, and just wanted more of it and felt like it could have been a bit more focused but I know this is the writing style of this author. But also the pacing when in and out in parts and lost my attention at times. It was really when the romance was happening I was full alert....the mystery aspects did drag a bit.

Overall View
The Hidden Moon is a story that will instantly capture your attention, it digs deep into the vivid portrayal of the setting, will inspire the reader to use their imagination involving the mystery and will keep you on your toes from beginning to end!

First Impressions
Master of Crows is a book that I have been wanting to read for many years....I actually have had it in my audible library for like 3 years so I figured it was time to buckle in and just get through the audiobook. Its not the best narration to be honest, and I think I decided to stick with the narration because her writing style can sometimes be slow at times. Well I struggled with this one and I decided to just stick with it until 50% ....well the second half is where the story really got off the ground and it was brilliant!!! I loved every single moment in the second half. The first half is very slow burn and maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I had physically read it, I will try that with the rest of the series though.

First Line
Yield to me, Master of Crows, and I will make you ruler of Kingdoms.

Summary
Master of Crows begins when Martise, is a bondswoman (basically slave) and she is exchanged for a chance at freedom if she works as a spy to the sorcerer, Silhara of Neith. The mage priests don't trust Silhara and want to know what is truly happening with him and prove that he is betraying them. At first, Martise plans on being the spy because her freedom is so important, however, very quickly, as she learns more about Silhara, her spy endeavors get lost on the wayside because her friendship and connection to Silhara, is building and she sees the good heart that he hides. But there is a enemy god who wants to use Silhara, and in the effort to protect Martise, he could be lost forever to the darkness...

What I Loved
Whew what really kicked it for me with this story was the romance and the third act. First off their relationship is so unique. I loved the slow burn, the way there is a level of mistrust between them but then we see the trust begin to form between them. Their sweet soft intimate moments were brilliantly written and then when they finally get together the chemistry is top notch between them. The plot really thickens in the second half and we see how their love is tested. I was so endeared by the moments when she meets his tribe and you see the beautiful blend of cultures that are introduced here. I was so captivated by the events in the third act of the story. This is where the story really escalates in tension and excitement. The villain was very well done here, not the type of villain that will make you uncomfortable, just regular villain lol And the ending was so poignant and heartfelt and full of so many hopefuls for the rest of the books in the series and I can't wait to delve into those.

What I Struggled With
The pacing was not fun in this one, I honestly think it was due to the narration and I am wishing I had just tried it physically first and then switched to the audio if the writing was too slow for me. I really had high hopes for this book and I wish the narration had just been done better because my issues with this book is the narration. I think it really hurt the experience of reading this one for me.

Narration
As I discussed above....my problem with this narration was how I couldn't focus on the story. The narrator just wasn't the best for me, I am not sure exactly what it was. But I just kept getting taking out of the story and being lost lol and its possible it was me I don't know .....I mean I just listened to a audiobook before this one that was spectacular but this is my second time listening to this book so I don't think it was a Me issue.

Overall View
Master of Crows was a beautifully mastered story that swept me away into this world of magic and intrigue and plenty of heart that I didn't want to let go of Silhara and Martise and the cover truly portrays the majestic moments that they have together.

First Impressions
Enamoured was a story I quickly devoured, even way more than the first book. This book was much easier to read in my opinion as it seemed to have more angst, suspense and edgy plot within the pages than the first book and less spice which I was all for. The first book it seemed that was mostly what it had lol I still loved it but did skim some scenes as there was quite a bit of it. So it was really nice to read the conclusion and have more plot being focused within the story. This book was so packed with heart break, and separation and reconciliation and edgy suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat...literally!! But its a story I am glad that I picked up.

First Line
Every9one who was anyone in British society was at my wedding

Summary
It begins with the POV of Cosima....its her wedding day and she was whipped and tortured and then had to abandon the man she loved to save his life. We skip to a year .....they have been apart and Alex has never forgotten his wife, he still tracks her movements but when he realizes that she is being watched by a sleeper agent by the society, he knows he will need to be careful in how he handles reuniting with her because the society will need to be destroyed before he can return to his wife or they will be at risk and won't have a chance. So he does what is needed even though it tears him apart. Now its three years and Alex is back in society. Cosima has gone through therapy and has attempted to move on from Alex....but she has never forgotten him and when she sees him again....she realizes their love never left her heart....she just hid it away. But can Alex and Cosima reach a happy ever or was their love destined to never be...

What I Loved
I adored so much of this book...and it had me in my feels all the way through this book. This is a story that will really dig deep into your heart and you will just need to read their conclusion. Its not a easy battle for either of them. But don't worry all the truths become revealed and man when Alex learns of what happened to her on their wedding day and what he did to her unknowingly ....literally will break your heart. I was so captured by their chemistry in this book, because its wrapped up in this angsty emotion and the love that just bursts from them whenever they are together. In my opinion this book is the superior book in the duet. This is where their relationship really goes through the fires and they become even stronger than ever.

This story especially really had my emotion all over the place....literally I was sobbing buckets in this book because wow Giana Darling doesn't go light on their story. You really see their relationship being refined, and there are things that happen to the characters that won't be for everyone. I loved how they fully come together again though and seeing them truly fight for one another was just glorious. And that epilogue was just about everything. I CANT wait for this upcoming menage that Giana Darling is currently in the process of releasing. (Yes the first book is out but you know it has a cliffhanger so waiting till book 2 before I read it lol ) But I do want to read Giselle's book, and I know that one will be very different, but man I am not sure I am ready to see Elena being so cold in that book but as I know her story, I know why she is that way. But will be doing that trilogy very soon.

What I Struggled With
The time they were separated. I wasn't a fan for the length of time they were apart from each other. That was really my only issue which kept it from a 6 star read.

Overall View
Enamoured is a story that will dig deep into the tension, the angst, the dark world of this secret society and will deliver in the heart and layered emotion that Giana Darling reigns supreme at! A GLORIOUS READ THAT CURLED MY TOES!

First Impressions
Enthralled is the story of Alex and Cosima and after reading the duet that dealt with Dante's book, I knew I had to pick up Cosima's book and whew this book led me on quite a roller coaster and I loved just immersing myself into this story like this. And I was a bit nervous about this book because there are mixed reviews and some reviewers I trust struggled with this book, but knowing what I was going into with certain aspects, I knew I just had to buckle my seat belt and this author delivered and I fell so hard for this book. I also think I was in the right mindset to truly enjoy this story like I wanted to. So my best advice going into this book.....be ready for a sadist/masochist romance that definitely has darker elements to the story.

First Line
It was the biggest day of my life.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Alexander
The Heroine: Cosima

Summary
Cosima is the daughter that is the beauty of the family. She is the one that she always knew what her destiny would be, and it would be like that of her siblings. She knew that she would have to make a sacrifice, what she didn't know was that would cost her. Her father sold her to pay off debts and he sold her to a man that is the devil himself....Alexander and she is now his slave to do with as he pleases. Cosima has pride though and she won't submit without a fight. But as they play a game of cat and mouse with his each other, she starts to feel a building connection to Alex that she didn't expect and before long she will not only submit her body....but her heart and soul to him. But they have enemies and sometimes a happily ever after isn't possible for the darkest of hearts....

What I Loved
What I loved most was the emotional connection that is slowly built within this story. There is a LOT of spicy scenes, but I do feel you do need to read them as their deeper connection is slowly built within those scenes. Some of these scenes will not be for the faint of heart. It deals with aspects of BDSM, humiliation and degradation and sadism. So keep that in mind. I actually really loved the aspect of master/slave. It actually reminded me of some older bodice rippers that had these elements only in a more modern context within a dark romance. And with each chapter, the author gives you these tidbit of the building the serial duet plot that will only build the mystery of what is happening in this world, the secrets that Alex and Dante are keeping, what keeps these brothers apart, whether the father is a hero ....or a true villain and what sacrifices will need to be made for love.

This book dug deep into my heart and broke it all different type of pieces and it ended in a way that I didn't expect but man I can't wait to delve into the conclusion because man.....my Alex and Cosima. I need them to have their HEA. But wow DANTE!!!! Now I get his connection to Cosima. In his duet I didn't fully understand his connection to her, but I DEFINITELY get it now. And wow it only adds so much more depth and I can't wait to see these brother rebuild their relationship and I need that brother bond and NOW!!! And discovering who is the true father of Cosima and his connection to this duet blew me away!!!!

What I Struggled With
The BDSM stuff was really rough at times. And also there were some scenes where Cosima is tortured (not by the hero) that was really really rough to get through and pushed my boundaries. And not the cliffhanger I expected, I am still on the fence how I feel about it, but it ended weird. So there is that. But this book was addictive and so compelling so I rated it as high as I did because it definitely dug deep into my emotions.

Overall View
Enthralled was a deeply impactful story that was richly dark, edgy in its thrall to the reader and will have you questioning all of your morals but in a good way. It emphasizes the good in life and to embrace and hold onto it in such a poignant way!

First Impressions
Fancy Pants is the first book in the "Wynette Texas" series. This is a series that is set in texas. After reading "First Lady" I wanted to explore more of this series. I am curious to see how these books will actually be connected to each other. Fancy Pants was a story I had very mixed thoughts on. Its not going to be a romance for everyone and romance is putting it mildly lol Its probably closer to chick lit in some ways as our couple isn't together as much as I would prefer to call it a romance. But It had the SEP humor, but it will be a book that will push your boundaries and you will have to push through moments of.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Dallie Beaudine
The Heroine: Francesca Day

Summary
Francesca Day grew up in wealth and what she believed to be a British heiress. She grew up with the most quality, a natural beauty, and up in British society and interacted with the best in British film and even royalty. But when her mother is killed, she loses all the wealth she was comfortable with to pay off her mother's debtors. When she is offered a deal to be a actress in the states, she sells everything she has to get a plane ticket. But when she arrives, its not what she expected and she ends up stranded on the side of the road with a southern professional golfer to save her day. But they are more opposite than oil and water. But chemistry is powerful between them .....will the connection they have for each other be strong enough to last the secrets and constant fighting that is common in their relationship?

What I Loved
I really loved their banter, the humor in this book is the BEST part of this book. I loved their interactions. When our couple is actually together in the story ....its literally chefs kiss humor good. It makes you just want to laugh out loud so fiercely. I adored the hero so much though. He is that classic alphahole hero that you just don't see in contemporary romance anymore and man his character felt like a breath of fresh air and to be honest I was on his side the whole book. He definitely deserved more than what Francesca gives for him, but he has this heart of gold that just shines through despite his gruff exterior. And I adored their son "Ted". He was a great addition to the story.

What I Struggled With
There were quite a few things. The first being the romantic plot line not being the main focus of the story. I wouldn't call it a women's fiction but more close to chick lit maybe with a good romance in it. We also have a heroine that is very unlikeable. She is basically a rich snob and having to eat humble pie. She is a bit different so it took a while to like her and then just when she starts to charm you....she does something that just makes you want to scream lol My biggest issue with the story and what made me tempted to DNF it, was the secret baby trope. The heroine is stranded and has no money hardly, almost does an abortion, but then backs out (thank goodness or it would have been a DNF) but then she hides her pregnancy basically for her pride. I understand her wanting to do something on her own, but hiding their son from him for over a decade was wrong on so many levels and she never seems to even feel bad about it at all. And then you see how those secrets have harmed their son too. Because she has put her career ahead of her son, she didn't even put him as a priority and wouldn't even tell him the truth about his father.

Narration
Well done! Its this audio that kept me with the story. I think if I had physically read it I probably would have placed it aside to be honest.

Overall View
Fancy Pants while it had some issues was a entertaining and lively story that brings together a beautiful opposite love story that digs deep into humor and charm that this author is brilliant for!

First Impressions
Kiss the Villain was a story that packs quite a punch and if you love M/M romance and dark romance, then this is a series that is a must read for her. I am not sure if this whole series will be MM based or not. I am hoping she will continue to write MF couples because I do think that is where she is most good at in my opinion. But I actually think Kiss the Villain was better than God of Fury, but that is just my viewpoint as I feel like God of Fury was way overrated. But Kiss the Villain is even better. I am not sure where the backlash for this book came from and I didn't feel anything weird about the MM relationship at all. If this is your cup of tea, I do believe that the elements within the story will most definitely work for you.

First Line
Tonight, I'm going to hurt someone.

Summary
Gareth and Kayden are our two main protagonists here, and Gareth is our connection to the Gods series, his brother is Killian. Kayden is posing as a professor, but he has a secret plan....he needs to get close to Gareth because his grandfather was behind the death of his late wife and he is determined to kill all those responsible for her rape and murder. But what neither Gareth or Kayden expected was for the bright chemistry to build between them or for something deeper to form between that that goes more intimate than just sex.....but when it deals with the heart. But their relationship must be done in secret, there is also a age gap in their relationship and their families aren't exactly best friends. But when all the truths come out....will their relationship survive the coming storm?

What I Loved
Kiss The Villain was a compelling and addictive story and I just didn't want to put it down. I absolutely loved every moment between Gareth and Kayden. From the first few pages, I was hooked within this story. I also did this in audio and this series is AMAZING in audio, just sayin'. And its a full cast audio, so you definitely can't go wrong with that. I found Kiss of Villain to be a fabulous story. I am not sure if the author is planning on moving forward with only MM....I hope she does do more MF though, I really hope its not just only MM. But we shall see what she does with this series. I do think you can read this as a standalone without reading the Gods series. All the timelines actually surround each other so as long as you know there is a group of friends and they interact with each other's timelines, then you will be fine.

The romance between these two was so fiery hot. Their chemistry was written top notch. I also loved the way that they come together. The angst was so well done. I normally am not a enemies to lovers fan...but Rina Kent writes these elements super well. Their interactions were hilarious and Kent still delivers on the humor and banter so right. I also couldn't get enough of the way that they build this relationship from wanting to kill each other to wanting to love each other and kill anyone that prevents them from being together. It definitely features characters that are anti heroes, so keep in mind these are definitely dark and has some Non Con elements within it. But if you don't mind those elements....this book will completely work for you. We also see cameos from many characters of the previous connected series which was a blast to see. I am eager to see what we will get with this series.

What I Struggled With
Nothing!!!! Just wasn't quite a 6 star read.

My Review: (This review may contain spoilers, fair warning upon reading this review)

I was highly anticipating this one after the first book, everyone seems to rave about this book and this whole series. I was expecting this one to be a five star rated book actually. This week has NOT been good omens apparently because I had high expectations going into this one here and they just didn't meet up to what I expected.

This is a very fantasy heavy story. If you are expecting a fantasy romance....that is not what this is. the relationship is not focused hardly at all. I did end up reading till about 60% and they were apart the WHOLE time practically. So keep that in mind if you want to read this series, that the romance takes a backseat and you are going to have to push through heavy world building, many battles and dreary moments. So keep that in mind when investing in the series. Another issue I had that really I felt wasn't necessary was the added pov. This is where much of the POV could have been minimized, it felt way too drawn out and especially if you are listening on audio....its super distracting from the story itself. And the POV that it is....well quite frankly I don't really care to learn about the past of a evil being who made Max kill innocent people having such a focus in this story. She could have just had a prequel or something of this POV. Especially with how it is written, it takes you so much out of the story which makes it hard to really push through. So much of this story just didn't make sense. Its like all the work that happened in book one....just goes out the window for what .....to make the characters just go through hell I guess??? LOL I need it to truly have purpose and if I am reading what is reported to be a fantasy romance....I need the romance (crazy expectation I know haha) I am going to look into her other series (the vampire one) and see if that one is more romance focused and see if it works better for me. I am just really heartbroken because I wanted to LOVE this author so much and feel sick and very sad.

 DNF Review:

Beautiful Exile I was actually pretty excited for but after a few chapters I decided to DNF this one. I just didn't like the dynamic or the heroine especially and didn't want to force myself to be miserable in this one. I am actually surprised this author wrote such a toxic character. She has wrote some prickly heroines every now and then but this is the worst character from her I have ever read. She literally tries to kill the hero in the beginning, doesn't apologize for it at all, acts entitled and above him because he is a millionaire and self made so he must be a bad guy because of it. I really didn't like her holier than thou attitude she has in this story. And another big release I don't understand the high ratings when this heroine is so bad in the beginning. But I also will hold my heroines accountable. I personally can't recommend this book despite how much I have loved this author and will wait on the other books to make sure the characters are worth reading. I am sad because I did love this hero and wanted him to have a really good story so I am disappointed in this author for writing such a story that is her weakest work.

 My Review:

This is the finale of the Elder Races series. Technically there is a another installment but it hasn't yet been released and the date keeps getting pushed back so not sure if it will come out. And this is the perfect way to leave this series in some ways....although I really want Liam to have a book and crossing fingers he does get a book eventually if he hasn't already received one yet. In Planet Dragos quite a few things happen in this novella surprisingly though. We see Pia is super pregnant with their second baby who has Dragos temperament and her shifter side of being the rare unicorn. We see her getting kidnapped, Dragos rescuing her and then having them realize they need a change and want to go to a different realm and be true pioneers in this new land. But they have to figure out the politics of leaving and what will happen with their son Liam.

I truly adored this book, their intimacy and seeing them fight for each other. And I loved their baby Niall. He was so adorable in his shifter form. I can't wait to continue this world with the Ryacia series.
