I got really hooked at the beginning. It was an interesting opening and I was intrigued as to what was coming next. Unfortunately, as the book continued, I became less and less interested. I think part one is pretty solid, but I really didn’t like the direction it went in part two and three. Also most of the characters are just the worst, so it was hard to really root for anyone.

Goddamn! What a ride. I’m really bad for reading series, I usually end up dropping them for whatever reason. Really glad I stuck this out. Super enjoyable, love all the characters, love the settings, love the powers, love the politics of it all.

Really impressive storytelling. Some things that were a head scratcher from book one and two get brought back in a big way. The development was great.

Is my heart broken? A little, but I’m glad I took the journey.

I hard good buzz around this, I mean it’s a classic for a reason. I was very let down. I think that’s more on me than the book though. It’s so old and I found it challenging to read what what was actually happening. I kind of had to slog through it. I don’t think I’ll be checking out the other two parts.

I’m really digging these Junji Ito story collections. I will say though, I much preferred the stories that related to Oshikiri, over Frankenstein. I kind of wish there were more relating to him and the house. Lots of good stuff in there, even if the the last story was a little sad.

Some really enjoyable short stories. There are definitely a few that are memorable than others, but they all were at least interesting. Why can’t I do half stars on here? That’s a tab frustrating.

I have seen this adapted a few times. It’s understandable why people choose this story to bring to life on screen. Still very enjoyable, even if I knew what was coming.

I started this a while ago and never got around to continuing it, for whatever reason. Super engaging and fun, is fun the right word there? I enjoy all King, even his bad ones — I’m not sure if I’ve read any of his real stinkers yet. I look forward to continuing the streak down reading all of his works.
