I really like the idea behind this book- the story is very creative and I've never read a ghost story like this one. There was a lot of history and important topics. One of my favorite things was the descriptions, there was some beautiful writing. However I found the MC a little annoying and the plot was hard for me to follow. It felt like there was almost too much happening. I'm glad I read it though.

This book was absolutely incredible. I cannot express how much love this book! Feminist bicon Evelyn Hugo is jaw dropping amazing. This book touched on so many amazing topics and it was so powerful. The story was compelling and you never knew what was going to happen next. Absolute page turn, I couldn't put it down. This book had such a full circle moment and the and it was satisfying yet so sad when the reveal was made at the end. I don't have enough words to describe how much this book means to me. The writing style was beautiful and I will forever keep the words "I had the devastating luxury of panic" close to my heart. 100% recommend to anyone.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read and good to get out of a reading slump. There were some parts where more elaboration would've been good. Athlen and Tal's first meeting for one. There was development in their relationship but right from the beginning you knew how it would end with them and I feel like it could've used more of an exposition and more of them actually getting to know one another, but that could just be me since I prefer slow burn and it all happened so quick. I also feel like the plot at the end was a little too rushed, the entire plot of the book was leading up to this big political moment and the climax fell a little short. But as I said, great book, love the characters, love the world. One of my favorite things in literature are LGTBQ characters just not being a big deal; it's just  there and it's normal, like any other romance, and we got that here. Would definitely recommend.

This book was good but not great. I am always a fan of gay romance and mental health representation but it wasn't my favorite out the genre. I loved the romance and the development of the characters though.

This book was a really good read, I loved it so much. The characters are awesome, as is the romance, and by the end of the book I was attached to all of them. The plot was also good and I found it hard to stop reading because of it's fast pace and great adventures. The development of the relationship was great and it was entertaining throughout the whole book. The only reason this wasn't a 5 star read for me was the ending. It was all kind of wrapped up in a neat little bow and felt kind of rushed and stale. Though the author discussed the trauma of the characters, and even though politics weren't happily ever after kind of deal, everything was just explained in one or two pages, it felt like the author was just trying to finish the book. I would've appreciated an epilogue and I think that would've made it so much better.
