I like Kafka for showing a common problems in an uncommon way.

This is a good story about being different, facing intolerance and suffering from rejection.
It's incredible that reading it made many of us identify with the giant bug.

More like Mr. Daddy.

Good handbook, very theoretical and straight to the point. I used this book and Babbie’s one while doing my first research. For some reason I like this one better, maybe because there’s less storytelling in it, which is good when you need clear informations and instructions.

It was supposed to be homophobic, but it turned out gay… just like me.

Love it!

Very comforting, very nice, but too moralizing for me. The lessons about being good mother and wife, religiosity, excessive modesty were tiring… just let the girl wear a fancy dress..
Drive: The Surprising Truth about What Motivates Us by Daniel H. Pink

This book was required reading for my lecture and I had a huge, unrealistic exam based on it. So don’t expect me to write anything good about it.

It’s basically years of Research on motivation collected into one book, it could be helpful, it could be even interesting but not when you have to remember all relevant details… very demotivating.

Short, predictable read, not very original, but I understand that many people may like this story just because of the topic. The vibe was good and I like it but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

For me this book is a huge glow down after Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
It’s not that I hate it, but it’s really overhyped. Also the format didn’t work for me. It was flat and I couldn’t get attached to anyone.
I expected more then a cheap fanfiction about Fleetwood Mac, even though I love Fleetwood Mac.
I wanted something original and twisted, not another basic story about 70s band.
And the “author plot twist”... I saw almost the same thing in Seven Husbands. It’s getting boring.

Unfortunately I expected too much and now I’m disappointed…

There were parts that I really enjoyed but there were also a parts that frustrated and bored me… Sally Rooney’s books aren’t exactly my cup of tea.
