Always my favorite! Jim Dale’s narration is superior!

I picked this up to read before I watched Mike Flanagan’s adaption on Netflix. This was definitely not what I thought it was gonna be. That is the only reason I’ve given it a low score. I was going in thinking it would be more spooky and full of ghost stories. It’s not a bad story just not what I wanted from it.
Plus, the main character was kind of annoying.
Seemed more like a love story than anything, which is not my thing.

The old English is hard for me to read so an audiobook was perfect. Poe writes so beautifully.

This was surprisingly my first of Joe Hill’s work. I knew I would enjoy it and his writing is very detailed but easy to read. This story was a mix of Midsommar, Wicker Man, and Pet Sematary.
