The imagery in this novel was way too overdone. The story has too much describing going on, and I couldnt understand the plot due to the overwhelming detail.

i love the mara dyer trilogy, as well as michelle, but this was just tragic. i was really stoked to read this book, however, i couldn’t get into it. i tried, but the concept was terrible. i hated the way things ended, and have decided not to read the next book.

i am throughly disappointed. i am just going to pretend everything ended with the retribution of mara dyer.

i had to DNF this book. there was no plot whatsoever, nor were there any large character developments. definitely the worst read of 2019 thus far.

well shit. i am not going to lie, Lailah confused me at first. as readers, we were pushed into her world with little backstory. but as the story moved forward little bits and pieces pushed together, creating a fantastic story. i love all the characters AND enjoyed the love triangle. there is nothing like a good old fashioned love triangle, my friends. team Jonah all the way, bitches.

holy mother of the the fucking devil. i love any story that includes the devil, especially if it entails a cute boy protagonist, but damn. this was one of the best books dealing with the devil and all things evil and everything else you could ever imagine. definitely one of my favorite reads of 2019.
