Thoughts
This was my first time reading anything from Hannah Orenstein and I can honestly say I really enjoyed this book. It has such a unique premise, What if you knew when you would meet your soulmate? Well, the MC of this book does. Edie Meyer knows because her Grandma had a vision when she was a young woman about when she would meet her soulmate and ever since she has seen each family member meet their soulmates. Great plot right?
I loved Grandma Gloria, the woman is my spirit animal. She was witty and sharp and reminded me of my own grandma and her every living quest to live her best life. I loved how there was a great depiction of the struggles about finding lasting love whether it be by fate or free will. It was sweet and sad at the same time, but really a feel-good time overall.

Read this book if you love:
An easy read
New York backdrop
Soulmates/Meant to be trope
A feel-good time

Spice: 2

CW: deadnaming, transphobia, misgendering

This was a cute food-based rom-com that frustrated me sometimes because of how slow burn it was.

There was very good representation throughout the book which I really appreciated.

I loved the grumpy/sunshine trope and the raw emotion and development of the characters.

And the way that food was used to show love and care between the characters was fantastic.

Thank you to Edelweiss for providing me with an EARC in exchange for an honest review.

Congratulations on this debut novel by Kelsey Kicklighter! What a promising start to a new
series about a human girl with a hidden birthright.
Faye has always had an attraction to the Fae realm, growing up with stories and lore about the
Fae warned about their unsavory ways and always told to be careful. Little did she know, she was half-Fae and a long-lost Fae princess.
This book was filled with all the premises for a promising journey into the Unseelie and Seelie court politics, coming into the MC's power, and the discovery of a life and world hidden beyond our own.
And that ending, what a cliffhanger!!

Read this book if you love:
Bi rep
Changelings
Grumpy/Sunshine trope
Love triangles
Discovery of hidden powers
Fae in general
Lost princesses

I obtained a sampler from Netgalley of 40 pages of this book.
Now 40 pages will not allow me to give a full review, however the 40 pages that i read gave me no indication as to how this book will turn out. That is simply because in the first 40 pages nothing happened. Nothing!!!
