Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy was my second book by this author and another 5 ⭐️ it focuses on conservation and there is a mystery involved. It really addresses the importance of nature and balance. There is a beautiful relationship between sisters!

A challenging book with dark themes and connections to history. It’s sad and tense. Thankfully it is fast paced and surprisingly I laughed more than I thought

The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley was a solid mystery& thriller. I’m still looking for the one that truly grabs me and maybe more on the horror side of the genre. I loved the Paris setting (a city I still haven’t been too yet) and the aspect of family drama. It loosely fit a locked room mystery prompt. 3 ⭐️

The Wind Knows My Name by Isabel Allende is such a powerful story. It incorporates some historical fiction, stories of trauma and resilience, and family bonds. It’s a beautiful heart wrenching novel that connects multiple storylines across time and place seamlessly. 4.5 ⭐️

A Proposal They Can’t Refuse by Natalie Caña is a sweet little romance that focuses on food, family and a friends to lovers storyline. You might know by now I love an element of food or cooking in my books 😅 it’s a fake dating storyline established by some feisty grandparents. While that was cute there was a third act miscommunication which I find utterly uncreative and frustrating. 2.75 ⭐️

Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia was described as a pulse-pounding, dark fantasy, and noir mystery type of book. It didn’t strike me as such. It read more like a YA novel and I just didn’t get the thriller vibes the cover seemed to promise. I wish I liked it more. 2 ⭐️

I bought one copy for the cover and then bought a signed copy from the author because of the description. It’s lighthearted and relaxing. A perfect addition to your cozy book collection. Pick it up if you like great British bake off and tasty recipes!

This is the last catch up post and my last post from Ireland. Fan Girl Down by QUEEN @tessabaileyisanauthor was my first venture into golf romance. I wasn’t expecting much because golf doesn’t seem sexy to me 😅 but leave it to Ms Bailey to change my mind. This book was cute, got me a bit in my feels but also had some great funny moments. A great book if you love sunshine/grumpy tropes and a strong willed FMC. 3.25 ⭐️ 3 🌶️
