Pretty boring but the writing was good Anticlimactic ending. Felt like a waste of time like... Couldn't connect to the characters. This book had a good premise but the plot itself wasn't that engaging. But overall I managed to finish it so it wasn't too bad. And also, I hate stories with weak characters.

In the first chapter and I am already cringing. The plot is all too familiar, having kids of my own. Finished the first chapter and already had a conversation with my son. So apparently hurtcore is a thing...

Update: I just couldn't after chapter 3. It was too much. I read to get entertained, not to suffer. I feel so sorry for all the kids who had to go through this

91% into the book....

The first half was fine... But I didn't feel that they'd been through enough together to really call it love. I couldn't feel the connection between them? It all just seems like infatuation or lust, and the guy is becoming obsessed and uhmmm a bit IDK... And the writing was repetitive like saying "get off on this" "get off on that" every few minutes.

I do not like cowboys. I don't think they are attractive at all. I feel they are smelly and dirty. Like this guy is a bull-rider. Had to go on tiktok and look at some bull-riders like... Nope.

And the girl's a law graduate, and he's nothing. Not even intelligent or anything. He's just hot, and that's it. Like... There is no depth to him whatsoever.

Yeah, no more Elsie Silver for me.

Halfway through I thought "This is dragging..."

But I have never read a book with so many quotable quotes. I could relate to most of it because it was all so true and real. I was highlighting every few minutes. I never expected the ending

Didn't pay much attention to the action stuff like the details of their challenges/tests/trials, but I liked the story. There were lots of moments that gave me the feels--because of the friendships, not so much the love story.

I wish the author explained more about the folklore/history so I could understand why the ending was a big deal... I really liked how the book ended... Not sure if I should read the second book.

I wish I could rate it 100000/10

Let me just say that this book is the best rom-com I have ever read. Hahaha I am still laughing now but this book made me cry so many times in the two days I spent reading it.

I love Alexis and Daniel so much but my favorite character was def Bri. She's so funny HAHAHA

I just love how Abby Jimenez has created two very admirable characters..... Will read Yours Truly right after this. :)

SIGH.....

This book is very beautifully written, it just took ages to finish. This is a heavy read... So be prepared. I wouldn't read this if you are looking for a lighthearted story.

Made me cry on some parts, and I'm not talking about getting slightly teary eyed. I mean, I was ugly sobbing. It's been a while since a book made me cry. Anything to do with World War II makes me feel like I'm in a deep, dark pit.

Feeling heavy... But I appreciate this work. ❤️
