Well written and explained a world to me that I didn't know existed. Gives strength to women who feel that whatever situation they are in is hopeless... because truly it is not.

I thought this book would be strange and hard to get into but was reading it for book club. I thought it to be even more strange when I started it and found it was starting wayyyyy back with his grandparents. After the first chapter I could not put the book down.

A book that I could not put down. The writing and story of this makes me wonder why I didn't get into this book when I was in school. A beautiful picture of the 1920's era and a love story gone wrong.

WOW! I loved this book. I didn't know this was a book until recently and have always loved the movies. I liked the book even more than the movie. Being in the character's minds as I read the book pulled me in and I could not put down the book.
