This book was much more than I expected it to be. It is essentially a fictional autobiography of a very priviliged girl and her life story. But it is about much more than that. It is about living in a theater, growing up wanting to be popular and then finding out, what life really is about. It‘s about falling and standing up again. What it meant to be a women at the beginning/middle of the 20th century, about the really important relationships in life and about how the war was perceived by a civilian. And last, but not least, about friendship.

Very average. Nice entertainment, but it just didn‘t catch me. Maybe it was because I read the German translation, but I just couldn‘t really get into it. Loved the idea and the vibe though.

Cried my eyes out at the end. A beautiful memoir about life and death and what it means to be a doctor (and how to be a good and empathetic one). One of the books med students (or really just anyone) MUST read!

Started strong at the beginning and it was nice to read Oak‘s. There were some twists that I didn‘t see coming, but I felt like the revelation at the end was a little confusing.

In my opinion it isn‘t as good as the folk of the air series, but I still enjoyed it a lot and I definitely didn‘t see the end coming.
