Some people love Sally Rooneys’ books and some hate it and I can understand both sides. Her writing style differs a lot to how books are usually written nowadays and her characters often times aren very likeable, because (in my opinion) they are written so realistically that at times you see your own flaws reflected in the characters, which can make you feel kind of uncomfortable. BUT I think this also shows what an amazing writer Sally Rooney is when it comes to realistic fiction.

This book shows how complex relationships between people can be and how situations aren‘t always black and white. Bobbi and Frances also show how a relationship can evolve over time and how this evolution isn‘t always happening in a straight line.

This book was the second book I read by Sally Rooney (the first being „Normal People“) and I liked this a lot better, but this could also be because this time I knew what writing style and kind of story I had to expect.
